You'll be amazed at the number of scorpions and such that are actually running around... especially if there's any construction nearby

I have Axle drugged up on trazodone beginning tonight. Last few times it’s taken a few hours for it to kick in, so I had to give it to by 4P to be safe

A bit of hot dog trivia for your 4th of July:

In its lifetime, the average industrial hot dog cooker will spin about 500,000 wieners and collect about 4,000 gallons of wiener juice.

    just like your mom.

So my phone is hooked up to my head unit. A text showed up, and my head unit asked me if I wanted to reply, and I said yes, and it said "okay playing yes from Amazon music" and started playing a song...... Happy 4th everyone lol

Alamosa's fireworks show is pretty much across the street from me at the fairgrounds.

    Ours happened last Saturday.
This is a minute of it from the view from the back porch.
I've since fixed the hanging light bulb from the dog's sandbox.

She was correct. Too many people in the lower 48, took it literally like she was talking about from her backyard in Wasilla. LOL X2. She was Governor at the time. Russia is next door to Alaska. Like, really in the backyard. That's what she was referring to. When I was up there, I watched front line F-22's do intercept flights every day from USAF Elmendorf Anchorage from my office window. :plane::oldglory:

This is from a local newspaper columnist. She has very strong opinions that I don't always agree with, but this one I do.

Isn’t it a stroke of luck that the Founding Fathers had the foresight to sign the Declaration of Independence in sunny July instead of icy, miserable January?

Picture it: Instead of picnics, sparklers and grilled hot dogs, we’d be huddled in puffer coats trying to light fireworks with numb fingers.

July gave us lemonade and lightning bugs. Not frostbite.

The Founders might not have been thinking about cookout weather, but boy, did they set us up for the ultimate summer celebration.

There’s something fabulous about declaring freedom in the heat of summer. It just feels right: sunny skies during the day and explosions at night!

Had they waited until January, some knucklehead would've suggested celebrating with turkey soup and soggy mittens. Instead, we get beach days and parades, watermelon and music.

The fireworks light up hot skies and kids chase each other with glow sticks long past bedtime.

    Thanks, Founders. We love you!

I think fireworks in January would be kind of cool. We could do them out on the ice. Have a fire. Cook food on said fire.
