Did some wheeling today! Even got to use my winch.

Ended up having to call it early, though. I was in front, clearing a path up a hill, with my buddy in his F-1fiddy behind me. Unfortunately he grenaded a CV. Oops.

All in all, still a great time!

Thanks. It cleans up pretty well for an 11 year old truck that gets used pretty hard as a truck.

As some of you may remember, the new trailer I bought in 2023 is what caused the new truck in 2024. Whelp, on the RV forum I visit once-a-month, there's a dude with a Tundra asking about the pin weight of the trailer he's looking to buy...same as I bought.

So yeah, I put my phone down...logged in on my laptop and went keyboard ninja.

    Maybe link the convo?

I run an RV with borderline overweight pin numbers, too.

I'm not, too up to date on 3g trucks, but am familiar with the ration of shit I get for not buying a 3/4 ton truck.

The OP hasn't responded to my post, so not even sure if he's monitoring. Also not sure what truck he's running...cuz, who needs those facts. All he said was "I want this trailer and have 1,000lbs capacity". Didn't say if that's from the manual or measured on a scale...My OCD was all...:angrygirl:

For anyone that really wants to SAFELY get a lot more drawing practice, room clearing practice, reactionary drills, trigger time, etc... (especially at home) here is a good option that really isn't all that bad when you factor how much money you save in ammunition, gas to the range and the fact you can train in a myriad of conditions within your own home (including dark and low light conditions)...

    https://www.laserammo.com/store/Packages/Packages/Packages/Home-Defense-with-Your-Glock-or-Sig

They have numerous kits available, but a basic kit w/reactive targets like one of the ones above will pay for itself just in normal range costs in the first year. If you do find yourself in a defensive shooting (I say this w/caution cuz there should be nothing 'defensive' about a gunfight) the hands on training you've given yourself in the environment you're actually fighting in is invaluable and could not only save your life but also lessen your liability risks.

It's convenient and allows you to opporunity to train numerous short frequent sessions (about 10 minuts to set up); compartmentalize your training to something specific you want to work on for that particular session; and spend 10-15 minutes doing good solid training. Break it down; do it again tomorrow or the next day; and repeat (often)...

How often do we end up at the range and trying to PERFECT and work on EVERY aspect of training in one 30-60 minute session; it's too much and often times we find ourselves just trying to cram in way too much in a single session since we know it'll be days, weeks or even months before we go back out....

For about 8 tanks of Tundra gas you could have what you need to not only get started, but have the necessary equipment to make a real difference in your tactical abilities.

I've used simulators and such in the past at work, but we're talking systems that start out at $250k or more... A set up like this wasn't even on my radar for home use, but my wife ended up buying me one of their kits as a retirement gift several years ago. When I opened it I was thinking it was going to end up being kinda 'janky', but was pleasantly surprised w/the technology and capabilities of the system.

I ended up grabbing a used older Gen Glock LE trade-in (you can generally find them for around $300 or so) and converted it to a dedicated 'training' pistol... so I have ZERO risk of a negligent discharge while training w/it; the gun wouldn't fire a live round even it was accidentally introduced into the training environment.

If you have a few bucks to spare this is the way to go so you're never training w/a potentially live firearm. If you do choose to use your actual carry pistol you just have to make sure you have a safe weapon and have eliminated ALL ammunition from the training environment prior to training (no different than if you were going to clean the weapon, etc...)

    Options are out there...

If you run your fingers through it while its still warm and juicy, its easier to find the objectionable object, like a piece of toy or something.
