Hoping so. Two spine surgeries in a week ain't easy. Top that with meds and their side effects and the stress of the absolutely abysmal "care" the VA "provides" and he's still in pretty rough shape.

This should have been assessed and addressed a decade ago. At the very least it should have been addressed two months ago when he was requesting help. They blew him off and actually said "you're lucky to have the appointment six weeks from now." He recorded it. Next time somebody starts spouting off about wanting socialized medicine, send them to the VA. I'm ashamed that we treat our veterans this way.

 

It really is sad, I'm pulling for him. Is it the same guy you go riding with?

 

Yup. Same guy that git shot in the leg pheasant hunting and has/had prostate cancer. He's had a few bad years, and odds are he's looking at more surgeries with likely fusions in his lower back.

When I am Prez, the very first thing I do is make sure Congress gets the same healthcare as our Vets. Problem solved

I saw Newsboys as a kid. The entire drum riser lifting into the air and spinning upside down while the guy was still playing was awesome, not gonna lie

 

speaking of Christian music....

one of the best "concerts" I've been to was when Ronald Wyatt played a smattering of classics one night on the huge pipe organ at Trinity Episcopal Church in Galveston.

I remember the church shaking when he went to crescendo.

a real pipe organ, played by a pro, should be seen/heard by everyone.

I was ~12yrs old.

recently seen some very good shows - Matchbox 20, Eagles, Michael Buble, Seal, Satriani/Vai.


but....and this is a sad state of affairs...

the very best concert I seen was Van Halen 1984 tour.
nothing, as of yet, could touch that for sheer talent & showmanship.

any concert of Rush would be a very close 2nd.

 

Best showmanship for me was any one of the 4 Iron Maiden concerts I've been to.

Best all around good time was John Fogerty. Just a guy with a guitar on stage playing CCR classics for 2 hours.
