What is it about airports that turns everyone into a cro-magnon?

Watching people put out water at TSA. Not a new rule.

People leaving jewelry on. Not a new rule.

People not checking ALL pockets after failing a scan. Then failing again and getting butthurt when they have to do the full body scan.

Hey monkeys, you have TSA pre-check. The rest of us paid the $ to avoid your dumb ass.

 

Airports are fun

 

One of my fav coworkers just announced she’s leaving the company. Headed back east for family. Not much a company can do about that but my company sure didn’t make the decision difficult.

 

Dude, I rarely fly. Love it, but rarely do it, and even my dumbass knows these things.

I bring a carry on that meets guidelines for weight/dimensions, no liquid (leave the mouthwash at home), and I wear shorts and slip on/off shoes while carrying my wallet, keys, and phone in my hand. Walk up, drop bag on the belt, kick off my shoes, take off my hat, toss items from my hand into the hat, drop the hat and shoes in the bin, walk through the scanner, and follow their directions. It's hardly rocket science.

 

It's a bummer when companies let the good ones leave. Worse when they do that and won't push the problem causers out the door.

 

Has your doc checked your blood pressure lately?

I'm far to laid back to rush, but I also try to have my poop in a group so I don't slow things down.

 

Exactly! I have seen people fail that chit after getting off an airplane and going thru another scan for their connection.

I'm always early as well, but I'm early so I don't have to rush.

 

I always wait too. I just hate being rushed. I'll show up 2-3 hours before my flight, go through the circus, and then find my gate and chill.

Now, for your OCD

 

I've definitely forgotten to empty/not fill my water bottle on the way to the airport.

I've mostly flown to the US. It's a nice change not to have to take my shoes off when flying in Canada.

 

Before I had kids, I would pull dandelions and weeds every day, mow once a week and rake at least twice a year.

Now I'm thankful when it's hot and I can go 3-4 weeks without cutting the grass.

 

Yep, weeds give off oxygen and feel pain too.
