As of today, I also don't pay for cable. I do not have every channel.

I have not had cable since damn it has been well over 15 years

 

We ditched cable and got an antenna, Tablo whole house DVR and two Roku sticks for about $300 one time cost. We have Amazon Prime that we've had well before they became a streaming service.
I had a workaround for the NFL but it changed last season so I had to get youtube Sunday ticket. I was paying $150 a year before but this year it was 400. Still cheaper than going to a bar, but I'm going see if I can get back to cheaper or free.

 

And yet you still spend all your time here with us…

 

And here I was thinking Hulu + Live was good.

 

It is all about what you want to watch. Last year my price for internet and cable jumped to $270/mo…and I was over it. Now I am about $120/mo equivalent and all I gave up was Nascar.

It took me a while to come back around to researching, but once we figure out a home phone solution, the rest was a no brainer. We keep everything we had, we gained Disney+ and unlimited DVR x 6 profiles, and shed x3 box rental fees. Put us ahead by $80/month with zero downside. We're happy.

Internet only is $80ish/mo for 1gig unlimited.

Upgraded Disney+ to include ESPN and Hulu. Going to dump both ASAP. Disney bought out Hulu so expect them to be combined soon. And ESPN is a joke.

Added HBO Max, which is something like $160/yr.

Formula 1 is $80/yr and bought a $25 Roku dongle so I can run the F1 app or stream from my phone.

It's bundled. High speed fiber internet and expanded cable for $180/month.

I should look into options, who do you have for internet?

 

Anyone use Google fiber? Positive or negative experience? Could it be any worse than Comcast/Xfinity?
