Reminds me of a plane I track. It’s a WWII fighter/bomber that the owner still flies on a regular basis. The fuel bill alone is about $1,500 per hour.

Why wasn't there a battery powered beacon on that thing, like an airliner's black box, in case shit went sideways? Seems like the first thing I'd design.

 

Exactly. People are freaking out they used a game controller. I can personally attest game controllers these days are crazy reliable. It took me 5 years to wear out an Xbox controller.

Why are we not asking about emergency beacons? Why wasn’t there a beacon designed to deploy automatically after a set period of time or after a series of predetermined events?
