Crazy, I get the shoulder/arm ache sometimes when I sneeze. Dunno what that it

 

Nah. Get it out and over with. It's a major workout in under 60 seconds, and you either feel way better or pass out afterward. I've had some rough reactions to fresh oysters (threw up so hard I got tunnel vision and had chunks pushed into my sinuses) and I'll take that over bubble guts and gut pain.

My wife puked and her water broke three months early. Baby came 3 weeks later and spent a month in the NICU. Miraculously, she’s fine. Just turned three.

My wife got vertigo last week, dry heaves. She thought having something to puke would be better than the dry heaves. Glad she is getting better. Crawling on the ground is not good for us old folks.

 

Quite the opposite for me.
I’ve got a damn strong stomach for a lot of fucked up things. But if it needs to go, it needs to go and there’s no reason to fight it.

Heard/caught/read between the lines enough. The other person and kids and all that…been on here a little while now.

I’ve been married 25 years this June, and my wife and I still consider this to be a bullshit holiday.

 

Ah, so a combination of the two. Man, I wish I could remember half as well you you apparently do. I forget everybody's names, I don't do birthdays because I can never remember, and I forget plans I make the day after I make them.

I am terrible with names of people I meet, and it’s not because I don’t care…there are people I’ve met and really enjoyed talking with and still needed to “meet” them 2-3 times before I remembered their name.

My wife is a birthday savant - or really dates of any kind but especially birthdays.

I’m just one of those people that retains 99.9% of what I read. Numbers, diagrams, schematics, words. I’m a slow reader, but that’s because if I read something I process it - I mentally evaluate, consider, absorb, connect the dots, whatever. And when I do that, I retain it and can recall it…perhaps not verbatim, but certainly enough to summarize or paraphrase it back to someone. And numbers/ statistics/facts even more than anything else. That’s where my username comes from - a good friend and coworker started jokingly calling me Rainman because of it, and I kind of adopted it as a part of who I am.

 

Right, but when you read it on here, can you keep track of who said it later? That's my struggle. I'll remember a story, or a comment (if I'm lucky) but not have the faintest idea which member said it. I wind up using the search for phrases, or the arrows at the bottoms of posts, or going back through my own responses to see who I quoted on something. My retention is poo. LOL


It's an awesome skill that you have, and I dig that you've claimed it and own it.
