Welcome back to the land of the living. Yes, Sir. Today is my Tuesday. The 3 Mondays are done for the week.

 

Have you thought about going for a different position?

 

that would make it hard to move. I find myself in a similar position. There are a couple other spots I could move into, and some pay bumps, but I'd lose my schedule. I don't want to go back to a 4 or 5 day work week and short weekends. It's worth more than the pay increase to me.

 

Same reason I'm still on my shift, I would actually take a small pay hit if I went to days. The time off and pay differential makes the few nights I work, worth it.

 

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't complain if I went to straight days on my current schedule and had a decent/reliable person opposite me on nights, but the jobs that don't do nights are either 5/8s or 4/10s. To get me back to that kind of schedule I'd need something like a 50-60% pay increase to feel it was worthwhile.

 

Yeah, I get that.

Besides not being around management/supervisors every day, another perk of my rotating shift is I only need 32 hours of leave to get 14 days off.

 

My little bunker is kinda off site, so the only Supes are my direct ones, and they are good. You're vacation sounds solid though. I have to burn 80 hours at a stretch, but I do get 3 weeks off for that.

It's a water weasel. Lanky, goofy, and adorable. Would not want one mad at me though.

 

They are related to weasels, ferrets, etc. so I call them that, but yeah they are Otters.

Ahh, I see. They are definitely Otters. Water Weasel is in the same level of naming as Water Pitbull from you. Purely for the fun of it.

Mines doing ok. She had a couple seizures a few days ago, but they are short. She's just a happy, snuggly little old lady. I actually took her in the RZR for the first time on Tuesday. We went to the vet to get her glands and nails done. She loved it. It was like having the windows down the whole time for her.

 

She'd fight goggles. Plus, she sits below the dash unless she stands on the door. As for regularity, I'd have no problem with her tagging along on smooth rides, but she doesn't handle bumps, turns, braking, or accelerating well. She'd be a rag doll on a rough trail.
