Going to watch this project. How do the interior and bed bolts look on the quicksand tundra? I know NY has lots of rust, but that outer tie rod is covered for such a new vehicle. Makes me think it was underwater at some point.

This will help for a DIYer to keep costs for body panels. I havent checked what they have for the 3rd gen tundras but you cant beat the price. As i remember they will send a free catalog.

Interior is pretty good and the bed bolts look fine. If you look underneath all the bolts and the frame look nice and shinny I just don’t know why the tie rod looks so rusty. If I remember when I go see the QS Tundra I’ll take pictures of the interior and the undercarriage and show you what I mean. Usually, if something was underwater then it should show in many different areas but here it’s only the tie rod and whatever was in direct contact with the ground cuz it’s missing rims too.

Interior: This is the worst part.
    QS is a SR5 CrewCab
Parts is a Limited Extended Cab

Game plan: The very first thing is move all the needed internals from the parts truck to QS.
I’m missing the head unit (radio). It’s been trashed. Possibly replace it with a Phoenix Tesla Style radio. Thanks to https://www.tundras.com/members/devildawg712.3696/ for the idea. My parts truck has a radio and supposedly it’s a nice one. I’ll post a pic of it and see what y’all think ;)

Interior: This is the worst part of the interior.

No airbags were deployed. QS was not in a collision. Just stolen internals :D

Looks like aftermarket rear shocks on the QS, what does the front suspension look like?

    Good catch!

It has a Pro Comp lift kit. I believe it’s a 7” kit.

Anyone wanna get rid of their extra set of spindles? Cuz I’m looking for both sides.

I don’t see why not. If you’re willing to wait though. :ballchain:
The only thing is I don’t plan on selling anything until I fix the truck, unless it’s got nothing to do with the front end. It will not be fun selling some part but then go and buy :spending: it again lol.

Ouch, looks to me that they cut into the radiator support. The whole middle portion of it is gone, that may be the fun part there.

Yeah I know, but if you look on the bright side it will make it easier getting the engine in.
    :D:D:D

Of course I would never cut it myself just to make it easier but it’s not there so I will make use of it

What happened @Tundra101 you seem to have just dropped the ball on the excitement here.? Have you made any progress or has your project just been stalled?

    Lol. :D
    No, no dropping ball here.
    Just been very busy lately.:ballchain:
On the otherhand I did have a “minute” to make room for both trucks to fit under one roof so it easier to work on.
I am planning on starting to work on the truck later this week or next week for sure. :fingerscrossed:

    ~~@G10dra,@frankslc23~~
Thanks for the :boink: It is encouraging :D

And also, I did buy a front GoRhino bumper on Craigslist from a Tundra enthusiast from Miami! :D
He was willing to work with me on shipping, that was very nice of him, Thank you “T” ;)
    That’s about it for now.

@Tundra101 good to hear back from you. glad that you have plans to get back on this project. Post pictures as you progress may be some vid's as well.
Just be careful don't get carried away with the upgrades as this forum will do that to you:rofl::spending:. I think you should get the truck running, drive it around and see how you feel and then slowly think about the upgrades. Who knows you might like the truck stock.:notsure:

    Keep it up
