I used a Mac and got that too.

I loaded the "screen off image" first then startup and that ended up working for me. Good luck!

I had same issues at first. Format flash drive. Make sure file names are exact. Then try again. Good luck, post a completed image when you get it done!

I just looked at my Displayoffimage and it is 3.53 KB. My Startupimage is 11.0 KB. The manual for my 2015 says that image files of 5MB or less can be transferred to your screen as stated in post #68.

I must be getting senile in my old age or just missing something in your question. The size of a picture is measured in KB's or MB's, etc.. As long as your pictures are less than 5MB resolution, you should be ok. If you right click on a picture you want to place on your screen and then left click on "properties" it will tell you the size in KB's or MB's.

Just to add to @RowdyRon comments. The overall dimensions don't matter as much as the file size. So long as the file size doesn't exceed the Kb or Mb limits, you're fine.
Imagine your computer screen as your headunit display. If you want the image to take up the full screen on the head unit, crop or resize it on your computer so that it fills up the screen at 100% of the zoom in/out. From there, make sure the image size is under the Kb/Mb limit.
My start up image is 95 Kb. On my computer, when I open it, it takes up my whole screen.

I have 2 images loaded in the Tundra. I see the Start up image but I have yet to see the display off screen. When does that show up?

For details, go to post #3 and watch the video...
The Display Off shows by going to the Home screen, press the gear in the upper right corner to go to Settings and you will see "Screen Off" at the bottom of the screen; press it to display the Screen Off pic. To return to Home or other screens, press any button.

It does not show up when you turn the radio off...

You can use it whenever you want. You can still play the radio while your image is being displayed and when you change the station it will notate the station you are changing to. The only thing I don't like that you lose is the clock. But at night it's nice if you have a dark image as it reduces the glare from the screen.

This^^^ and sometimes I drive around with the radio off and just my Screen Off picture instead of my home screen, mainly at night, since my picture is dark and my home screen has audio, weather and navigation showing all of the time whether the radio is on or off..

You can upload 3, and chose between them at any time. There is a fourth one (first one actually) that is the default Toyota logo. On the screen off options it is just a blank screen for the default plus 3 personalized options.
You have to go into the setup screen though to chose, so it takes a few strokes, but fairly easy.
