I just love how these first time posters waste so much time knocking the new Tundra. All I can think is jealously lol

My local Toyota dealer literally has less than 10 cars on the entire lot. A lot just a couple years ago that had 100+. There is little inventory to even sell at this point.

It’s a production issue. Not a sales issue.

There’s 5 Toyota dealers within an hour of me off the top my head. Not a single one has a Tundra on the lot. They’re still all sold before they come off the delivery truck.

The OP numbers/charts are inaccurate. Those numbers are far from true.

Issue with dealer markups or the truck though?

There are basically none available on any lot. I’d hardly call it a disappointment

I'm no fan of the 2022, at least until 2024.
But my dealership either has 0 on the lot or 2 or 3 on the lot when I go by and check on my cat delivery update.

I drive by another dealership daily and they will have a few on the lot one day and 0 the next day.

I think the 3rd gen will prove to be awesome in the end, relatively speaking. Like most 1st runs, there is some stuff to work out. But my first online impressions and where I am today are pretty far apart. Performance aside, that truck can be made to look amazing as I have recently found out. I hope it becomes the most desired 1/2 T out there so I can get my 15-21' for a reasonable price.

Bit of both. I think the internet magnifies any issue, but there is a small basis for the problems. Dealer gouging isn't unique to any brand, so I don't see that as much of a factor for one vs another.

It is really unfortunate that Toyota released the new Tundra in the face of record high gas prices. That is certainly having an impact on sales and will have even more impact going forward as the early adopter rush fades. Especially when people wake to the fact that the f'ed up world situation may be our new normal... or get even worse if other bad actors join Russia in creating chaos and permanently perverting the world oil markets.

I live in the production city and I've seen all trims except a pro on the road. Best one was a lifted SR5 TRD Sport in lunar rock. looked really good.

Since I've joind this site and jumped on the Toyota wagon in January of this year I have seen maybe 1/2 dozen new Tundra's and also have seen a couple of Lambos and 3 Fararris..
Agreed 100% I to have only seen 1/2 dozen new gen's a couple of Lambos but 3 Fararri's the Blaber net it only accurate reading between the lines.https://youtu.be/3DZbSlkFoSU

I have seen a ton in my metro ATL suburbs. At least 40-50 Sequoias are still rare sighting: maybe 5-6.

My local dealer last week had 3 sitting on the lot. Do somebody is buying them.

I now see Tundra's all over the dealer lots that are advertised below MSRP, I don't think it's a supply issue like it was last year. The economy obviously affects all vehicle sales but there is nothing else to point at other than bang for the buck that a buyer gets with a Tundra compared to other vehicles and the reason many bought a Tundra is because of their reliability which isn't what it was with the 2nd gen's. When people do their research, usually via Google, they see stuff on groups like this as well as FB and they take that as gospel whether it's the reality or not

Year for year, we're on track to see the worst Tundra sales in 2023 outside of 2009. Unless something changes dramatically, of course. That being said, it's interesting to see the thread necromancy here from a year after the last post.

No. I'm pretty sure they like higher profit margins by selling less of them, but with a higher price tag. Create artificial scarcity and prices will go up, you don't need to make as many of them to get the same return.
