I suspect aftermarket sub with faulty wiring. What's your guess?

Could be that but I can see if there are any tsb's on the matter. Seems like it could've been a problem with wrong fuses too.

I was thinking more along the thought process of the front, since the fire probably ruined the rest of the interior.

Probably best to get a complete DC instead of trying to priece together an interior from different trucks.

Welcome from Arizona. Backseat fire? Luckily you don't hear about that very often. Looks like a nice truck.

I wish you good luck with the project. (Don't mind my terrible sense of humor) I think it looks worse than it is. I'm guessing you're gonna end up with a great truck at a great price. The HU having been replaced makes me think (as I've suspected from the beginning) some backyard stereo install was the cause of the fire. Rip out any wiring that doesn't look kosher and I think you'll be set.

You might consider replacing the headliner as smoke tends to billow there first. In doing so, you can follow the wires up and then look at a wiring diagram to see what was in that pillar. Then if you're a sound guy you can dynamat your ceiling for better insulation and sound acoustics.

You can also use LKQ to pick up interior bits online usually for a fraction of the factory cost.

Lastly, you can consider using a Craigslist search to find other donor vehicles to buy parts from. Just a few ideas.

Have a headliner board that I will figure out how to recover. Is dynamat a diy kind of thing? How would you clean the burn marks from the metal behind the seat? Primer? Thanks for the feedback everyone!
