Yea I had a focus ST about 10 years ago and talk about a bad turning radius and that was a hatchback probably half the size of my tundra. I could see the tundra being a problem in downtown areas or parking garages but in the suburbs it’s not hard to turn around

Turning radius is worse than my old F150s, not by a huge amount, but it's noticeable. My 2014 F150 was bulletproof, never an issue with that truck. Of course it was an XLT without a lot of bells and whistles, so not much to go wrong. My 2017, 2019, and my wife's 2020 all had nagging issues that used to drive me insane. Never had an engine or trans issue with any of them.

I have some nagging little issues on my Tundra, which drive me insane. But not an engine or trans issue to date. But I love my Tundra. Ford has features I miss, the Tundra has features the F150 doesn't have. My biggest complaint on the Tundra is lack of payload capacity. Toyota is just not competitive with the American trucks for doing heavier truck things. The big plus for me was my Limited hybrid cost less than a comparative non-hybrid XLT I was looking at, so money savings. And, I was able to get a bright color, Solar Octane, instead of Ford's trifecta of white, black, and 37 shades of gray. Drab.

Thank you, all for the replies. I needed to ack quickly today , stock of 2024’s here in Nova Scotia are disappearing quickly and finance rates for 2025 are extremely high. So I did something , that I hope I don’t regret, I put a deposit down on a 2024 Tundra Limited TDR Pkg, Lunar Grey with chrome trim unfortunately. I say I hope I don’t regret it, because I did it site unseen and I have never driven a Tundra, or even driven in one as a passenger. I pick it up this Friday from a dealer that is 4 hours away and in another province but that dealership beat every other dealership, on price . I took some people’s advice and I’m waiting to confirm the build date but it was delivered mid September, so the engine recall should be good.

After the break in period make sure to put in it sport mode and you’ll be happy you went with the tundra!

Congrats ! Bought mine as well without a test drive, although did look it over and compare every detail vs. last Tundra. Coming up on 1 year and 10k miles with zero issues.

When you live in a city where most of the parking is underground designed for honda civics, roads that barely can hold 2 lanes of traffic because of cars parked, and sharp turns with weird roundabouts with no existent curbs to hop sometimes, you'll get it. Not everyone lives in the suburbs. I can't imagine driving the tundra with it's turn radius as a daily where I am at, nor any other big city like New York, San Fran etc which are similar concrete jungles.

Luckily i have a little 2002 toyota corolla, but when i drive my truck in the city where I live, that turn radius is a real issue.

My buddies F150, less of an issue, it has a better turn radius than my tundra.

Just got confirmation of the build date from the dealership, August 2024. Hopefully that’s after the recalls.

Best vehicle I ever took to Boston downtown (where everything is properly sized for two poorly fed horse butts put side to side) is my Tundra! Curbs is not a problem, just roll over them. Parking is not a problem, too: there's no available parking in Boston downtown anyways. Everyone is driving motorized grocery cart, eyesight level with Tundra's wheels. I see everything, they see nothing. Everyone's afraid to die and don't cut in front of Tundra. Tundra was properly treated in the woods, cutting through miles of bushes, I swear I don't see any new door dings or scratches.

    Best downtown vehicle ever!

I just picked up my 2024 platinum last week with the same Aug 24 build on it. I’m in Calgary, maybe we just got a shipment in Canada. Loving it so far, power seems similar to my eco boost in my navigator, haven’t hit full throttle yet.
    Good luck with yours.

It’s nice to know I’m not the only one that will go up a curb In order to not back up haha.
