I’m a few months into my GMC, and it’s rock solid. The aev package makes it so it doesn’t need any mods. Any other truck I’d already spend 10k on. Diesel pulls really well, and awesome mpg. 3k miles and only down 1/3 tank def.

I’ll run this truck for a few years until the 26 refresh. If it’s good, I’ll jump. If it’s bad, will get extended warranty and keep.

And make that warranty transferrable. They are still going to lose thousands on a trade today.
Big blue fix those cam phasers yet…..nope too much service revenue!

Have you heard from multiple different reliable sources of a 2026 refresh or just the 1 YouTube video?

Softer in July at 13Kish but that is still the strongest July since 2008. With all the July recall noise and dealer systems problems they are still putting up good numbers eclipsing the Gen2.

What’s happening with the current ‘24? Did you get the no-start figured out?

    Pretty good question.
Would I have bought my truck knowing it was in the recall range? No. I don't think that's fiscally irresponsible as Toyota will square it up, I just don't need more hassles.
Would I buy one now that post recall? Sure.
To me, the engine issue is down on the list of things I think about with my post recall range 2023. I think the infotainment isn't great which after a year annoys me every day and the abyss console design is puzzling.

After a year of ownership, and 5 million Gen 2 opinions, I'm where I was a year ago. I think Ford has the best design but is service numb from all the problems. Coin flip with Toyota and GMC. I like the BabyMax but like the Tundra power more. I had the Tundra parked for a month and just started driving it again yesterday. I really do like the way it drives.
TLDR- All the 1/2 tons have issues.

Nothing. I just hear there's a refresh in '25 or '26 and I like having a new one.

    What's a no start?

I meant when your engine died. I’m assumed it wouldn’t start again? Or did it just die on its own and then started up just fine?

When you shoot a hole in the gas tank, the fuel drains out, truck won't turn over and you demand it be lemon lawed?

    Lots of stuff!
We had a good experience with our 2019 Ridgeline before we got the Tundra. It was pretty solid but the towing limit was too low @ 5,000 lbs. Great payload number (higher than the Tundra)!

I just didn't like the 6 spd and the gear hunting while towing. Sort of like my buddies 2023 Taco!

The Ridgeline does have a decent payload and specs. They sell a lot them around here!

The ridgeline was a top contender in my truck search . Mostly because of reliability. Honda is solid AND their business strategy towards a customer is way different than anyone else. I purchased 2 brand new Hondas, 22 and 23. Both have been flawless. And , Honda is calling me to schedule my FREE first 2 years maintenance. No upcharge by the dealer. very nice experience. This is nice piece of mind since I purchased for my Kids .
So why didn’t I purchase a ridgeline? Looks like a suv inside.
Its interior sucks. It’s NOT a real full size truck. I wasn’t completely turned off by the towing capacity , but the interior just didn’t do it for me.
with that said , if Honda made the ridgeline look like a real truck I would be trading the tundra .

The Ridgeline’s payload rating needs to come with an asterisk. While it says 1500 lb on the door jamb, only 1000 of that can go in the bed.

some of the payload always goes in the cab anyways though, unless you have a remote control, HA

my former business partner had one and I asked him, what do you do when you have a full bed of crap and get a flat? you have to unload all the shit on the side of the road, get the spare out of the trunk thing, then reload?

I think the Subaru is the choice for Virtue Signalling. Usually full of PETA, save the whales and save a tree eat a beaver bumper stickers.
