I do think you've made some great points about leadership changes, especially how the timeline lines up with the leadership change at the Bama engine plant as well as your statement here and in this interview about how Covid impacted the design of the new generation Tundra.

Um, Nate and you talked about him reviewing models he receives from Toyota and Lexus and laughed, the insinuation being he was scared to do the teardown and quit corresponding to you because he was afraid of that connection.

Whatever the reason was he wasn't interested in it the implying you guys did that was the reason he quit was wrong to do. He wasn't in this interview to defend his reputation.

I know Nate said that, that was part of the "crying" part RG and Nate were doing.

I'm not Ryan and I'd appreciate it if you'd stop implying that.

    Was there conjecture? Yes.
Does that meet the definition of "dragging"? No.

    TCCNs reputation is just fine.

If informing is considered to be "crying" by you, then I've (Not Ryan) done a lot of "crying" on this forum.

I'm 27 minutes into the video and they are talking about auto financing. It appears the interview has gone completely off the rails from the Toyota engine issue.

It is interesting how most of Ryan's information is exactly the same as a not-to-be-mentioned member here. Even how he starts sentences with "100%" when he agrees with something the other guys have said. Hmmmm.....:monocle:

I do like the discussion about the Union Labor costs on cars, how it affects GM, Ford, and Stallantis by adding 5k in legacy costs.

Thanks for the warning. I had to shut it off out of boredom, but I might skip forward to see if it gets more interesting.

It's been pretty good. I've learned a lot but it has been a little long IMHO with some wasted time discussing some things not related to the current generation of Tundras.

Ryan says he'll by a 2026, I heard the part about buying a Sequoia and running Premium, at least 91 octane.

I dont think what Nate said about the throttle hesitation is due to a worn part, they start that way from the beginning

I don't know if this info is true, but I like to hear him say they have always been safe to buy, specifically 24 and later (something like that) with a 1% failure rate...should make most of us feel a little better
had to shut it off for now, work stuff...booo!

I really enjoyed the discussion about moving from the 8 to10 speed transmission, and the reason behind it, especially Nate's info about using a transmission forever and adding 2 new gears that may only net another mpg but it puts them back in compliance. Love the "Regulation Cartel" line by the way.

1:43:33 mark Ryan talks about having to make the AC compressor bigger for the switch over to 1234 refrigerant. I think we've heard that same thing here on this board as well... this is in the middle of discussing why the transmission cooler was removed.

I just finished the interview, it was worth watching IMHO. I think Ryan did a good job and I hope the new part(s) inbound make a difference that he mentioned.

I'd recommend those that have time watch it, just be prepared to skip forward as they do talk about some stuff not germane to our trucks at times.

I liked Ryan's opinion on the 2GR and that makes me wonder why they didn't modify that for Tundra

I'm at the 1:30 mark, now. Ryan does a little too much flexing, IMO. There's a LOT of off-topic chatter, but still worth listening to.

I'd like to have a beer, or 6, with Nate. Dude seems like he'd be a riot to hang out with.

Based on Ryan's info in the video and that has been teased here before that a "change" is coming, maybe the best strategy for us recall babies is to play hard to get until Toyota uses up the supply of pre-change long blocks so we get the new improved version. Assuming our original engines keep running that long.

Let me get this straight. You think the guy who repeatedly posted copyrighted material to the forum and earned the forum a Cease & Desist from a $64B automaker's legal team is being allowed by the forum owners/mods to continue posting pseudonymously?

Seriously? Do you know how batshit insane that sounds?

What kind of morons do you take the guys who run this place for?

Surely you don't honestly believe this.

Post #31 from @ColoradoTJ on this thread for whoever needs reminding.

It's not a stretch AT ALL to understand that @sudobash is simply reading the same sources (bulletins from Toyota, NHTSA, etc) that Ryan was reading. He's just not posting them to the forum.
