sucks, but it is what it is, good luck getting anything more out of toyota that isnt speculated to be BS anyways

only thing we can do is vote with our wallets, but this entire thing still doesnt make me want a ford, chevy , or ram more than a tundra.

Says the Forever Toyota Fan Boy. LOL!!

I honestly haven't shopped around much, but I have spent quite a bit of time in my buddy's 2023 Titan. It's superior to my Tundra in almost every measurable way, IMO. Appearance, ride quality, and fit and finish. I think he's had 1 minor recall and 0 warranty claims. Pretty sad when a discontinued truck is superior to Toyota's offering.

Sorry Matt, I don't like titans at all, just my .02, so we differ there, not even close to as nice as the tundra platinum IMO. Thats mute as they stopped making them anyways since they only sold like 5 a year, lol.

as far as toyota fan boy, I think not, I like them yes, but I shopped them last time in 2023, full test drives and also bought a ram in 2013.

The powerboost broke down on the test drive, the GMC AT4 refresh 6.2 AT4 rode like shit and the seats were so awful I ended the test earlier than scheduled. I didnt want another ram again, the tundra was clearly the best truck.

but, Id shop them again next time around too, I have Honda, Kia, Ford, Nissan, ram, Volkswagen , etc all in my company as well

Yeah, Im fine with agreeing to disagree on the new Titan.

My buddy's is the top of the line trim package, I don't know what it's called. But I always thought the 1794 was the nicest trim package of all trucks. I've had 3 of them now. That was until I sat in my buddy's Titan. Everything in that truck seems sturdier and tighter than the new plastic Tundras to me. His V8 is nice, and it pulls his 26' bay boat easier than mine with far less suspension squat. Side by side, I give the appearance nod to the Titan, as well. The ridiculously long nose and stupid mustache on the Gen3 has always bugged me. I thought it would grow on me, but it hasn't.

Anyway, appearance and fit/finish are subjective, obviously. What's not debatable is his Titan has been more dependable with less recalls and warranty claims. That's fact.

If you are THAT concerned, you should sell your truck immediately. Why doom say here about a truck you own, with grave safety concerns when the obvious answer is to sell your tundra?

Your Atlanta “crash ups” have nothing to do with the third gen Tundra.

I do agree with some of that, thats why I color matched the stash, now it looks good. Also, load leveling rear, I have 0 squat while towing.

I was never that impressed with the titan V8, it felt low on torque to me, I liked the yota 350 better as far as V8s go, and the GM 6.2 felt better than both when I drove it.

I can't believe the titan V8 out pulls a the 3.4 TT, not buying that, I think your just disgruntled, but that doesn't matter anyways, neither of us have one.

not being a jack hole at all, but if your so unhappy with your truck like you always talk about, why don't you just sell it and be done with it? get something you like, life is too short to have shit you don't like or irritates you.

    Things I don't like are

having to hit the tow/haul button after each fuel stop, hey toyota, just leave it on when I turn it on FFS.
Some of the plastic inside does need improvements, center console needs upgrading,
the door handle area needs to be more stout, needs an internal brace or something
the throttle lag, although I don't get it often, is kinda lame,
having to spend a bunch of money for a color match high level trim is lame (but I did it anyways, lol),.

this goes for every tundra Ive ever had, PUT THE FUCKING BASS OUT THE SUB, NOT THE FRONT DOORS SO THEY RATTLE, after 5 tundras, I thought I would be done with that, but noooooooooo.

and of course this engine blow up thing just needs to end FFS toyota, really?

My truck doesn't irritate me. I like it less than my previous Tundras. That's all. My truck isn't part of my identity, like some here. so I'm not emotional about it. I say it how I see it.

I've given praise where I feel it was deserved. They got some things right,IMO, but failed on others. Net downgrade for me.

    Your mileage might vary.
