Toyota should offer dealer incentives for the service departments with the least amount of issues coming back after installing these new engines so that it's done right the first time and we can put this behind us.

He's Ryan of course! He didn't work for Toyota, but lives nearby and knew folks that worked in the building. Overall we got a lot of information and perspective from him, which some of that info shared is what got him kicked off the forum twice (because Toyota legal came calling). Favorite thing to say may have been "Bless your heart".

If you weren't a 3 post newbie to the forum, you'd know who Ryan is. He was a very informative member who had good sources for inside information on Toyota issues. Unfortunately, he was caught posting copyrighted material here...twice. Toyota sent him and this website's owner cease and desist orders. The second time it happened Ryan was banned.

My friend? Who would that be? Ryan? Nope. Don't know the guy.

Simply playing devil's advocate since it would seem that Ryan is no longer welcome here and everyone seems to want to bash someone is unable to defend themselves.

I don’t understand people getting banned from forums for openly discussing things like this. The whole engine failure situation is PR crisis IMO.

    My unfiltered .02 cent questions:

We are to believe that the 3G motors are still experiencing catastrophic failures due to machining debris?

We are supposed to believe that even the 2024 models continue to have this debris?

Toyota, makers of arguably the best mass produced motors over the last 30 years, hasn’t been able to sort of this simple QC issue?

The new part number for the main bearings is just a coincidence?

The recall not including 2023s and 2024s (or hybrids) isn’t because a safety recall would result in a stop-sale order and Toyota would have to store all these new and used Tundras until the recall work was complete?

Is there a bridge I can buy?

And yet the posting of copyrighted information continues on here. See Page 1 of this thread. And those are posted by someone who undoubtedly signed an NDA to work at a dealership and not to mention the service agreement for using TIS.

That would be unfortunate, I really would like for them to sort this out at least by the time they do a mid cycle refresh...

Who is bashing him? He said 100 times he was going to do the tear down and post it on YouTube. Every time asked he said he hasn’t got to it - he had some health issues.
    someone has been paying attention.

Ryan was a great source for information. Seemed like a nice enough guy. I think he would be more than welcome if he was allowed back! We are just sharing some anecdotes from his time here.

So maybe the health issues are now resolved and he'll be posting something?

Ryan also made some very official looking Toyota documents that were not Toyota official. If I had to guess, that’s really what made Toyota upset.

Ryan provided a lot of good info. ColoradoTJ had that one post that explained what went down. Two strikes for Ryan and one strike for tundras.com and Ryan is out.

Interesting that his engine died. He was part of the everyone is overreacting, failure rate is really small crowd.
