Not trying to nit pick but here's my exact words (copy/pasted):

"Not trying to nit pick but a 3" lift doesn't do anything for ground clearance or off-road ability without being paired with larger diameter than stock tires." (You left out that key caveat about tire size)

And again without larger tires I don't feel a lift improves offroad ability. Sure approach and departure angles will improve, but it won't be by much, and again your unsprung components (and the ground clearance beneath them) is a far more important factor in whether or not you get through a trail/obstacle/etc.

So is it safe to say that failures have stopped and all the fence sitters (myself included) can now go buy a Tundra. Seems so.

If it is your thing then caution for sure. Saw all the above in my 10 years there. Don't forget the Black Widow spiders, and the packs of Javelinas too. And slightly different but those friggin Jumping Cholla cactus are the absolute worst.

Lived in Gold Canyon, Az, my son kept a golf club behind his door to kill the scorpions that came in from the garage. Besides the snakes and scorpions we’ve also seen these reptiles at Canyon Lake and four wheeling out by Florence Junction.

Snakes don't like baking soda or calcium carbonite limestone. Get some Snake B Gone and lay a perimeter-- you should be good

The original recall was for non-hybrid Tundras built in 2022 thru mid-February of 2023.

I don't believe that has changed, so your truck should not be included.

Yep, they cleaned or cleared the factory in January till February of 2023. Resumed production in March of 23, I have one of those builds and my truck has been flawless so far.

Service Advisor said my engine is in but I'm still in line. They got a batch of 15 and I'll be scheduled sometime in the near future. They'll do the fuel line recall as well so I've got to keep my tank low for the time being. Guess I gotta take off my flex fuel sensor and jb4 :spy:

Dropped my 2022 off on Monday, got it back today. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it. The truck’s got 62k miles on it, and other than the very rare wonky fuel gauge, it’s given me no problems.

But, I also don’t want to have a vehicle I drive my family around in running around with a massive recall in the air.

    So.

All went smoothly except for the “I went around the building to start my truck and the engine light came on and the truck did not start” thing… which the folks at the dealership found very strange and embarrassing.

Mechanic raised the hood and adjusted some of the connections, and the truck started. As of this post, the truck has started up flawlessly at least five times with no issues.

I certainly hope that remains the case. It certainly drives better than ever.

What I do find as interesting news is that the very few people that have had the swap are saying it’s better and smoother than before

i wonder if there is an ecu change or something paring with this

Not sure, but I have a 2/23 build Pro, which would be on cusp anyways if it wasn’t a hybrid. Have been wondering if they would still try to push a short block if engine does go out…I’d be fighting with corporate at this point for a long block…especially since you’re in the recall timeframe. BS the hybrid isn’t currently in the recall.

I'm actually really hopeful that the new engine will drive better than the 2022 one... Although I'm already used to my "lift chair" like acceleration
