Tundra Blacked Out

Yeah I can see than. My buddy has a TRD sticker with a punisher skull embedded in it. Looks pretty badass.

 

Yeah, was trying to make the connection between smoked tail lights and bad decisions. I have "blacked out" tail lights on my 350z, not "ricey" at all. I also have a degree, clean record, and work for the State of CA.

 

Haha. You’re fine brother. If you work in Law Enforcement you could see my record. I’ve had 4 speeding tickets, two were in high school. As a pharmacist they don’t allow for much on your record to obtain a license. Man I couldn’t live in California. I’m a conservative. It’s not that I can’t be nice to people on the left it’s that I will stand my ground when I have something I believe in and when you’re in the political minority it’s not very much fun. It sure is beautiful out there though. And the wether is absolutely gorgeous. I had more problems with that damn TSS sensor swapping the TRD Pro grille. My local dealership couldn’t figure it out but charged me anyway. I took it to another dealer and they got me going. Seemed like it took forever. So what are you drivin? Your profile pic is hard to see.

 

I have a 2017 CM. I don't mind living in CA. I am not much into politics, left or right, I just live to be me for myself and family. I don't complain. Not in Law Enforcement, I work at a maximum security forensic hospital (for mentally ill offenders), some are real, some are hiding out, lol. But the pay and benefits are amazing which makes it bearable to live here.

 

Politics suck. If people just said hey we don’t agree no big deal and moved on it wouldn’t be a problem. I’m much more into living my life than wasting it on politicians, you know people who don’t care about us. My mom is a nurse practitioner. She worked at the state hospital in Kansas, it’s in Larned. It’s a mental hospital and state prison. She had to take care of the Pedophile. I don’t know how she did it. She had one patient that she liked. She said he knew he had a problem and he couldn’t live in the real world because of it.

 

Yeah, its pretty much the same here except they shipped out the SVP's to another State Hospital. We house pretty much the worst of the worst that have committed crimes in the state, but then there are some that are here for rehabilitation that didn't commit murder or robbery, but something smaller. It's definitely an interesting job. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

 

That’s scary shit man. Going to work everyday with some bad dudes. I’m not usually too afraid but when you get a group of guys like that together that would be intimidating.

 

Dude that looks great! IMO The decal on the bed looks out of place with everything else being black. It would be clean if u removed it, or blacked out decals would look good too.

The worst part is that they are not locked up. Each unit has a lock on the front door, but the guys can access the halls with pass cards depending on their level they have achieved for good behavior. They are housed in dorm rooms, walk freely around the unit, watch TV in the dayroom, play games...it took some getting used to for sure.

 

Well if it keeps up we won’t have anyone locked up we’ll just criminalize the police and praise the criminals because of a few bad apples.

 

Haha I’m not saying you did make poor decisions. I’m telling you when I see someone out driving with blacked out taillights I assume they have.

 

Love your truck! Trying to do a similar color scheme just in my Blazing Blue. I really like the truck in blue but the contrast with the black bumpers! Looks awesome!!

 

Your truck isn’t voodoo blue? Dang. I thought it was. I like it still. And I had them wrapped. It was pretty inexpensive but I considered powder coating too. Those are a couple options. Not sure what they could do with the grille but I bet they could wrap it too if you wanted that chrome gone. It would be much cheaper than what I did.

Absolutely. Post your truck. I’d love to see it. I just generally like Tundras. Pretty hard to make an ugly one. I’m pretty happy with my purchase. I’ve owned two F150’s and honestly you hear so much trash talk with them. Not much in this group. Maybe some ribbing and helpful suggestions but I haven’t had anyone bash anything I’ve said. Hell I got the idea to black it out from this group. Glad I did it!

 

Yeah, the people here tend to be pretty awesome and supportive. Occasionally the conversation goes awry but normally it's not personal just people passionate about an issue.

That color is sweet! What running boards you got? They look pretty beefy. I mean I guess technically nerf bars. I really like them. I didn’t want steps but my wife couldn’t get it without them. That color is sharp!

 

Thanks, it's probably my favorite color Toyota offers. Happy I got my tundra in it before they dropped it. In Texas, these running boards came with the TSS black package. I've had no issues with them

 

My all-time favorite color is the orange. I know not for everyone but I really like bright colors. The traditional colors sell much better and have a wider market reach I’m sure. That’s a damn sharp blue and I definitely like how they have a new color for the new model years typically. It’s kinda cool.

 

Before I decided to by mine as a new tundra, I searched for a used orange but had no luck...

 

Keep an eyes on your step bars if they are NFab Podiums. The powdercoat is flaking off on mine and flattening in quite a few spots. Looks like crap and they are just over a year old.

 

Mine are Havoc HS2’s. They have a 5 year warranty and they already had to send another pair as the first set had misaligned bolt holes.

I kinda like the way the double cab looks. Looks a bit more sleek. I need the crew cab for the room. The bed is nice but I don’t use it as much as the seating.

 

I am opposite need the bed room more, as I mainly have the truck because of owning a home and needing to get gardening stuff quite a bit.

Nothing wrong with that! I just find gardening to be a stress reliever so I enjoy it actually! To each their own...

 

Oh I like gardening. I live in Kansas which is filled with bugs, wind and humidity. It’s a combo I really don’t like. Love having fresh tomatoes.

 

Plenty of bugs and humidity here too, you just have to suck it up...
