Your not listening. The EPA won't allow toyota to do this. Take the 3.o, add a DPF, UREA FILTER, another filter, Different injectors, 4 catalytic converters, a different turbo, a burn cycle, now the 3.o has the output of a 2.5. It's the EPA not toyota.

It's not about EPA. It's about the government using that as an excuse so Toyota doesn't bring there Diesel engines to North America so the big 3 don't run out of business.

Toyota would have to produce 100's of thousands of diesel trucks to even make a dent on the big 3 diesels. Besides..there are too many Big 3 fan boys that would never consider anything but their brand.

Toyota mind set I'm thinking is "why bother". Especially with THE EPA/ cafe standards bullshit that is real not imaginary. IMO.

Not to mention..$billions in factory expansion.

    Well played Matt.

Do you know the background on why he said that? It is actually pretty funny.

Nissan just came with Diesel. They pretty much have full line of trucks now except one ton.

I agree with you "too many big three fan boys that would never consider ..."

It seems to me that owning a pickup truck is rather patriotic. Country boys don't like anything but big 3 generally.
