Totally new here, just registered. Looking to buy a new Tundra. Longtime Toyota truck owner. So the price is $45k for a New Tundra 2017 Limited Crewmax with TRD Dual exhaust already and sprayed Bedliner, moonroof and $48605 is the MSRP. Is this a good deal you think? Thank you very much.

Seems about average to me. Just bought mine yesterday for 41500 crewmax TRD off-road, 4x4 spray in Bedliner. MSRP was 48000ish

This is the deal I have agreed on, and just waiting for it to hit the lot in the next week. 17 Crewmax Limited, TRD Offroad, Luxury Package, JBL/Entune Package, Sunroof, Pocketed Fender Flares, Connectivity & Charging pack, remote start, bed lights. Sticker of $50,002 - Price agreed on is $44,250 (That includes the $1250 rebate) I am in Arkansas. I think it is a good deal.

I wonder did the 2018s ever into the equation for you guys when making this purchase?

I'm in Las Vegas but the car is in Arizona, best deal I could find.

That seems a little high, but your geography may have an impact. I got $8k off MSRP and some free accessories on my crew limited trd off-road last month in PA.

Yeah, I'm beginning to wonder that too I've dealt with sales in Las Vegas and Arizona and they aren't budging much. Any LVers out there with similar experience?

So at this point I don't think it's a good deal. The 45k isn't all in out the door so that takes me right back up to the mid 48s again. Think I'm going to pass and wait to the end of year maybe.

    Thanks guys!

At this point, wait till the end of Q3. The '18s will be out at that point and you'll get a deal. Usually at the end of the year or the end of the quarter they will make deals due to taxes.

Wow. Even taking the dealer's hold back, $8K off retail = loss for the dealership. I am getting mine through my father-in-law who sells them and I can't get that far down. Great work!

    No doubt!

So now their down to 44,000 + taxes and fees from the $48,605. They would try to get the $1000 incentive AND the 1.9 or 2.9 financing for this price. Still puts me in the mid 47 range tho. I told them I want out the door $46k or less but they claim losing money on it. For that the sale price dealer price would be like $42,500 or something.

I'd still wait. Especially if the truck you're looking at is pretty common.

It's May (almost) 3-4 months till the 18s arrive. Tell em 42.5 out the door and be ready to walk, keep walking.

I need to live in these areas where they will sell vehicles at that sort of cost. I couldn't get a used one for $42K out the door....

Could probably pick one up out of state pretty easily. Hell, I am sure they'd cover the airfare.

So the deal is dead, I'm better off and kept on walking. Man did I really want it, I know all the upgrades already that I want to do. Well not meant to be and I'll start a build thread in anticipation of the day! :) Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate the feedback.

Don't worry you'll get there. Glad you had it in you to walk, they'll probably be calling you back soon. We had a deal pretty much done but after they tried to screw us on the trade we walked, gave another dealer one last try before giving up and waiting and it all worked out. They did try and make their money back in the financing and extra warranties, we almost walked on the original finance rate they tried to give us, 4.9%, what a joke.

It took me 5 months of negotiation. And a year or two of research. It was worth it! Good luck.
