Does that fog light bezel just pop off or do you have to take the entire grille apart to change it out? Looks fantastic!

I am mounted. Paint was about another 450$. I have a lot of parts that are not working out for me since coming from the aftermarket bumper. There are a lot of OEM structural parts I am missing that I trashed the originals from. I need to get the part numbers for the brackets attached to the bottom of the crash bar to attach the lower part of the bumper.

The biggest issues I have are that:

The original wiring harness isn’t really a great fit. I’m a little ocd with wires dangling all over and the layout doesn’t make for the cleanest behind the scenes.

the grille shutter is seemingly longer from the tundra than the sequoia would be, which makes sense, but I don’t have any way to mount the bottom of the shutter to anything, so currently trying to figure out a solution for that.

IF anyone can locate the 4 brackets that the bottom of the bumper cover attaches below the crash bar along the bottom, and get me part numbers off of them, I would be greatly appreciative. I screwed the pooch on this one. Way over budget.

So the kit you got from Adventure Motors was incomplete?

Just pops off, go from topside from one end to the other. Feels like it might break but won’t. Takes about one minute.

No, I installed a C4 fabrication bumper last fall. It already started to rust and it just wasn’t my style, but beat the OEM. But when I removed a lot of structural parts to install that bumper, I tossed them, now, I had to repurchase all those structural parts I threw away.

    I am done for now.

Everything needed is included in the kit. The wiring harness doesn’t clip into all the original holes because the wire spacing is a little bit different. You also need to use L brackets, connected to the top inside bolts of the crash bar, to bolt the bottom of the grill shutters to, as they don’t have a place to mount to the sequoia bumper assembly.

Other than that, it’s not the easiest most seamless swap, but could be done pretty easily with some patience and a little bit of creativity.

I really wish I was swapping OEM to OEM to give a better idea for everyone.

    Before and after.

Did the kit include the L brackets, or did you have to find a solution yourself?

Negative, I made some janky ass brackets based on the C4 bumper hardware. Check out their video maybe halfway ish through when they start reassembling.

I liked the steel bumper more than the Tundra/Sequoia bumpers IMO.

    Why was the steel ditched?

Rust, gas mileage, overall weight, not a huge fan of aftermarket bumpers. I don’t drive offroad, I race dirtbikes offroad. I’ll fuck off in the truck on occasion, but aside from deer, really don’t have a reason for it and just didn’t like how everything was after being cut and wires rerouted. Seemed eh.

Front end of the Tacoma looks better than the 22/23 tundra IMO.

I have contacted OEM Painted Parts (https://www.paintedoemparts.com/) about acquiring the parts necessary for the Sequoia front end conversion. I gave them the parts list posted earlier in this thread, they seem quite interested in providing the parts necessary already painted. There only question is which parts from the list require painting and which parts do not. If someone could take the list and indicate which parts require painting I would really appreciate it.

    Here is the parts list:
    52119-0C950
    52127-0C120
    52128-0C120
    52821-0C030
    52822-0C030
    53113-0C060
    53114-0C530
    53395-0C020
    53911-0C170

If anyone knows of a good website to find a parts diagram for the Sequoia front end that would help a lot.

    Thanks for the help!

The only parts needing paint are:
52119-0C950 (Would cost too much to ship)
    53911-0C170

Someone sells a kit online, I just provided the parts list of the kit so people could source parts on their own if they’d like.

I would imagine it’d be nice to order through that company for help on install, but I reached out to Adventure Motors with a few questions during my install and never got a response. I envy all the people ranting and raving about their customer service. Stressed me out.

THIS PARTS LIST IS INCOMPLETE. I missed the garnish piece that needs paint under the grille. The part number is : 53111A on the schematic. I will try to pull the full part number ASAP.

From the parts diagram above, it looks like part #52711 would also be required, is that correct?
