Please let me know how you make out. I’d be willing to try it again. Really liked that grill

I bought a Jomax from a new member on here that had one brand new. What's the latest with yours?

Still have my factory grill on. Fixed all the problems but would rather have my other grill on

I haven't installed it yet. I did get a sheet of 1/16th ABS to cut a cover for someone else. I'll know better on fitment once I pull the AJT off. The Jomax cover is alot thinner that the AJT by far. I can cut one for you if you want to try it.

Thanks. I can always try to mill mine down farther. But it still didn’t work when I had the cover off though. Guess the angle was off maybe ‍♂️

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I wanted to update the group on a recent finding: Relocating TSS sensor to the bottom of the grille surround (@2020Platinum) WILL NOT WORK WITH CHROME SURROUND; the radar will not penetrate the thin layer of chromium metal.

I tried this with my own chrome surround and attempted 4 separate locations and it never worked. I have a matte black Pro grille/surround coming in soon, so I said screw it and cut into my chrome surround and tried it with Rigid LED Bar cover to protect it and act as the garnish. Low and behold with the metal out the way, I have had zero issues 4 days straight.

Oh well, maybe I can dress up my fabrication and sell it to someone that wants to relocate their TSS Sensor, but doesn’t want to go through the trouble of a DIY project.

Experiencing same thing. I picked up a 2021 SR5 a couple weeks ago, ordered a rough country TRD Pro style grill. However when I was finished installing I forgot to plug the TSS sensor back in by the plastic opening on top of the grill. On start up it resulted with the orange tss light on my dash popping up. I am not getting the warning message in the middle area of my cluster, only the orange tss sensor light saying off.

I wasn't sure if because I started it with the sensor unplugged I caused more issues and thought if I plug it back in it would work and the light will go away but it hasn't. Either I caused more issues or I'm just one of the unlucky ones that will have this issue with an aftermarket tss bracket.

    Things I've tried so far.

    1. Disconnecting battery overnight, next morning hooked everything back up and light was still on.
    2. Disconnected tss sensor electronical connectors and reconnect using alot of force incase not all contacts were made, still didn't resolve it.

I kind of want to put the OEM grill back on and see if the light goes away confirming there are no other issues. I've read other people using washers to adjust the angle etc, I don't see how I can adjust this bracket so I'll order the AJT bracket today and give that a shot since it might have more adjustability then what I currently have.

The AJT will not work. The cover that it comes with is one of the major issues with it. Disconnect your battery for a little while, plug the sensor back in, then reconnect the battery.

A lot. See my channel for all installs/mods!
Good to know, thanks for sharing! Honestly this is the first time I’m hearing of it not working. That’s strange, but thanks again for letting everyone know!
