Did they give you and ETA on parts? I am going to dealer tomorrow with the hope that the error comes up when I go there. Just not excited about leaving my truck with them if they will have to wait for parts.

My PCS went out but first posted a tow error, will the tow controller going out cause the PCs to fail? I cleaned the sensor and reset the battery so I’ll see if it comes back.

As of right now mine hasn’t come back, but I did disable it, so seeing if it’s really fixed after I cleaned the Toyota badge and reset the battery. Try cleaning your badge and make sure the windshield is clean In front of the camera.

So as of my 30mile drive to and from work, after cleaning the badge with the system engaged…good to go!

Thanks again! It just needed a good cleaning and I didn’t even disconnect the battery. I am a little surprised how a fairly clean truck would cause a malfunction. I washed it two weeks ago and was used very little.

So I've just had the "collision warning sensor" light came on today saying it's off when it shows ON in my settings. I've had my 2018 crewmax for about 3 months now (2nd owner), and had no issue up to this point. I did however wash my truck very thoroughly last night and I also swapped out my 2018 grill (circular toyota symbol) to the TRD PRO style grill (all honeycomb w/ toyota lettering) about 3 weeks ago. After reading these threads I'm hearing that the issue could be one of a couple things?

    - moisture on sensor
    - moving the sensor itself
    - snow/heavy rain (Both of which happened this week)

I'm not sure what to do to try and reset the light on the dash...?????

I have an extended warranty through the Ford dealership I bought the truck from, but I'm afraid they won't honor that since I swapped out the front grille.
I read something in here about disconnecting the battery for a bit BUT I'm worried the issue could still come on if I don't get a REAL fix to the issue.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how I could fix this? Thank you!

I've had my 2019 for about four months now and just got this issue for the first time today. I've put about 8k miles on the truck in those four months (now at just over 70k miles) and haven't had a single issue until today. Stock SR5 grill and no lift. Turning the truck off and back on seems to have cleared it up but it makes me worried now. Otherwise I love this thing. I do have an extended warranty so if it comes back again I'll probably have the dealer look at it.

Have a 2019 tundra literally 1 payment away and I get the collision malfunction issue. Took it to the dealer and they looked at me like I was talking in Chinese. They saw the message and said it will be 199 for a diagnostic check. Has anyone been able to fix this issue without the dealership? No alterations or tint. Truck is stock SR5 with 117k miles. Would appreciate the help.

Was it raining? A dirty sensor cover or rain/snow will make that happen. Do you know if the recall (if applicable) was done to your Tundra? You can check on the Toyota owners website by entering your VIN#.

    Welcome from NY.

This was the fix for mine. Seems like a past issue. Water intrusion through the molex plug on the back of the MWA sensor. Water and electronics don't work. They replaced the sensor, added a drip loop inline with the harness, and added a waterproof foam over the rear of sensor and covering the molex.
Call toyota corporate and open a case#. They will in turn call the dealer and get it squared away. It'll take a little leg work and complaining on your side, but as I stated to Toyota Corporate, it could become a big safety issue if it actually triggers at highway speeds!! Tractor trailers don't stop that quickly!!

Unhook your battery and clean all of battery connections well. Reinstall.

Did they load test your battery; I will say that a failing / dirty battery will cause all kinds of problems……that’s where I would start

Had this issue come up this past week...
2019 SR just turned 70k miles, no modifications to ride height or grill.
PCS came on at start-up a few times but would cycle off within a few minutes of driving. Then last week, came on and never went off. Pulled the connection at top of grill and cleaned w electronics cleaner and put back together, disconnected neg battery cable for 30 minutes. No change (Except my throttle sensor now re-learning). Note battery was changed out 5 months ago and is good.)
I really do not want to pay dealership a diagnostic fee just to have a bunch of guesses thrown at this and even worse, be charged for a bunch of parts until fixed at my cost.

Gonna pull the grill and look at the sensor this wknd. Frustrating issue, glad it is not disabling truck completely but those flashing yellow dash lights...geez.

Not yet. Just wrapped a 1500 mile roundtrip to Big Bend National Park with the dang warning lights staying on the entire time.
It did try to "fix itself" couple weeks back (on a rainy day no less) by throwing the alarm off and on a few times then cleared for the day...back the next.
Makes me think more it's a faulty radar assembly upfront, probably getting moisture inside. I'm gonna pull the unit as I clean up the desert dust and see if i can do a cheap kitchen counter top fix (pull apart to see if anything obvious in the electronics).
If no joy, I'll catch one on ebay eventually with fingers crossed.

I made my own radar calibration gizmo and was able to calibrate my front radar so now I have no more bells and whistles going off. It only took me 2 months of buying/returning 4-5 different scanners and playing with Techstream to do it but in the end I learned a lot.
