I've been acquiring info on my next vehicle purchase for about a year. I think I have finally settled on a new Tundra. I even tried to buy one.

The dealership I contacted wanted to sell me a truck on the lot, which I was not interested in. I inquired about ordering a truck, and was basically ignored. I followed up with the general manager, where I said that my experience was polite and professional, but that I simply hadn't found the vehicle I was looking for. And that I would buy a new truck as soon as I could find the right one. He also ignored me.

So, does anyone have a recommendation for a dealership that is willing to earn my business? I am in the inland empire in california, or I can purchase the vehicle in Phoenix.

Also, is this normal? Are my expectations somehow unrealistic? In my mind (strange place that may be), if I'm going to spend more than $30k, I shouldn't have to settle for something I don't want.

    Wut? That's odd.
Any Toyota dealership should be willing to help. Lmk if you need a sales guy in CO.
There's also a sales rep on Tundras.com..I forget his username off hand though.

Thanks, hopefully a road trip to Colorado isn't necessary. But, I can always find a reason for a good road trip...

Welcome to the site. I definitely would not buy from the dealership you speak of. Every time I have been to any dealership I have to fight them off with a stick. I could recommend a dealer here in South Carolina but my guess would be that is a little too far for you. Good luck with your purchase! Keep us updated.

I am ordering a 2016 custom order and my dealership guy has been really good communicating with me. Not pushy at all and very willing to help.
    Go find another dealer.

That's really odd. Most dealers are so eager to sell you a truck, even if they have to ship one from another dealer. Good luck.
