    That’s a nice looking truck.
My first choice “was “ cement but I’m opening up to more colors. I don’t know if I could really go wrong with any of them. Each one has pros and cons, and look nice in their own way. I’m just to Darn indecisive.

You’re talking to the king of indecisive. That windchill white pearl is a real nice color. I also love the accents of the nightshade. I liked cement too but I couldn’t find any woth color keyed bumpers, only chrome.

It’s 16 hours away from me. Not sure I want to venture that far.
Should I worry about the tow ratings for different trims? The SR5 sport has the best rating besides the DC 2wd. The 1794 has one of the worst and the limited is in between.

IMO they’re all close enough to each other to not worry about the differences.

I like that nightshade in windchill...Mine is super white but i would have taken the windchill as my first choice... With the nightshade you don't need to de chrome...can you get it shipped to a local dealer?

There’s a MGM limited nightshade that is on order from a local dealer. Slated to be built Sept 1st but Not coming in until early October as long as there are no issues. The issue is this dealer isn’t ideal to work with. Looked at RAV4 in 2017 and while test driving it, one off there salesman rear ended us in a very large golf cart. The rear and of the RAV4 was smashed up pretty bad and my wife suffered from whip lash for quite a while. Not a single apology or follow up call. We probably could have got a lawyer involved but we’re not like that.

Finding a reputable car dealer is the exception rather than the rule... make a decision and live with it.

Get a Sport if you don't like chrome, the only thing the off-road package has on it is the gas tank skid and a better looking stock wheel and tire package.

Back in the day I had a 95 triple black Collector Edition Vette. In the summer you would open the door and wait 10min to get in. Wash it today and dust it off for the next 2-3 days and then wash it again. If you live in a cold climate maybe no so bad except it will not look good most of the time.

Ok guys, I’ve been in contact with Kings Toyota in Ohio and working on a deal for the cement limited. Does anyone have first hand experience working with Kings? I don’t want to waste my time or chance losing another truck if they aren’t up to par.

A local dealer will me getting a cement SR5 in about 2 weeks. It has a all weather mats and door sill, door edge guards, spray in bed liner, convenience package with 18” wheels and classic black running boards for $46483. i could do you the running boards but it leaves a lot of room to customize

The limited has a lot of nice options too, so now I need to decide which way I want to go
    Thoughts?

Honestly for today's market unless there's crazy ADM or deal options added it really doesn't matter who you go through. You're prob paying MSRP regardless. And the SR5 vs Limited really comes down to your budget, preference, and how they're optioned.

Does the limited have a sunroof? Do you want one?

Other differences that jump to mind are the leather vs cloth seating and the dual auto climate control if those options make it worth the difference in price.

No sunroof - don’t really want it either.
The limited does have leather and some nice interior upgrades (my wife will like)
The limited comes with a lot of options which I like too. This dealer is about 8 hours away.
The SR5 is pretty basic (which is ok). I will probably sell the running boards for some kind of tube steps. This truck doesn’t have the TRD off road package and only has the convenience package with 18” wheels, which would allow me to add a suspension of my choice if in want.

I’m ok with either of the costs.
    what concerns me,
Ive built a lot trucks on Toyota’s website and all of them add up to the dealers cost except Kings. Kings price is about $1000 less than the build price. I even checked the vin and confirmed all the options and packages were accurate, which they were. I’ll be very upset if I wait for the limited and miss out on another truck if Kings don’t come through

Not that it matters really, but the insurance is about $100 more a year for the limited.

Only other significant (if you call if that) difference when I was shopping the passenger seat was not power adjustable on the SR5. Not a huge deal but figured my wife would look at me like o_O if I spent over $40k on a new truck and she had a manually adjusting seat.

Is that $1000 discount the $500 military + $500 student that you may or may not qualify for?

If you go the Kings route. I live about 45 minutes from Kings Toyota. My buddy Mark from work leased his 2020 Tundra from there. Also has gotten a Rav4 and I think a 4Runner for his wife. Big dealership but seems to be quality people who work there, I've been there one time and liked it, its been renovated from a grocery store (Kroger maybe?) "Huge" *Trump Voice*. He swears by it. Ask for Eric.

Edit: I'll work on getting his cell number for you.

Kings is the dealer that I go to for all my service (2021 Tundra and 2018 Avalon). The service department has been great. I wasn't able to purchase either vehicle there bc they didn't have my choices in stock, therefore I don't have a ton of experience w/ the sales department. As the other guy said, it's a huge dealership that just expanded to add a large interior showroom.

    2 more options
    SR5
    Cement
    Black fabric
    Convenience extra package
    18” wheels
    Door edge guards
    Spray on bed liner
    Remote tailgate lock
    All weather mats and sills
    Black tube steps
    TRD rear sway bar
    Trd front skid plate
    Trd air filter
    Spare tire lock
    Blackout emblem
    Trd dual exhaust
    $48960

    sr5
    Cement
    Black fabric
    Trd off road package
    Sr5 upgrade and convenience package
    Door edge guards
    Spray on Bedliner
    Remote tailgate lock
    All weather mats and sills
    Black tube steps
    $49637

I don’t think the first one has a led lights or other options since it doesn’t have the sr5 upgrade package. The other options are good but not sure I’ll be happy without the sr5 or trd OR upgrade packages

I put a credit application in at Kings and they are holding the limited for me. expected delivery date is end of September early October.

Do you think I made the right decision or should I look at the 1st one above harder?

I like that second option. It’s option pretty well.

With a Sept/ Oct delivery , that allocation could get pulled. Where I did a deposit they got some allocations canceled today.

What is included in the sr5 upgrade and trd off-road package besides the led lights and suspension? If that’s it, I may go with option one and put the suspension of my choice on it.

Then again, the nightshade limited near me is really nice too. And I’m really liking the MGM color too.

I am worried that a Sept/Oct production/ delivery is not ideal and it does worry me about being canceled

No mark ups from these dealers. In fact most are discounted but some are sticker price.

None of them are in the lot. Everyone off them are in transit or due for production.

The packages override the base features correct? So if I get a limited with the TRD off road package, it will come with 18” wheels and not the 20” wheels, correct?

what about floor mats? If the TRD off road package includes TRD mats and I also get the all weather mats, do I get the TRD mats too?

I’m also assuming it would have the limited grill

Go to Toyota.com --> Build your own Toyota. It will break all the packages down, just pick whichever package(s) you want.

I have 2018 SR5 TRD Off-Road, MGM, SR5 upgrade (larger fuel tank, etc.), Convenience package (things that go beep beep before you die).

I’ve done that a lot, but you can’t actually buy it from them like that right now.
