That would be pretty cool - like crossed roasting sticks with flaming marshmallows on the ends or like a skull and cross bones where the skull is a flaming marshmallow and the cross bones are flaming logs or the sticks you use to roast marshmallows with

At this point he’s going to have to start turning down all the offers of parts. That’s gonna be the hard part. Politely decline somebodies offer of free stuff? Do you sell it if you don’t need it? Or gift it to someone else in need? BJ Baldwin offered him Toyo tires but BF goodrich is already giving him some. I see two sets of rims and tires in his future. I would keep both.

Devolro should just come through with one of their ridiculously priced trucks for him.:rofl:. Then he can get paid to drive into wildfires to rescue people.

I’m in. Is he on here?

When I first saw his photo he was at about 1300 followers on Instagram. 4 hours later he was pushing 3500. Now he’s at 57.5k followers. Holy overwhelming. They’re saying one of the most if not the most destructive wildfires in state history though. I sent him a message for Burnt Marshmallow Edition logos. We’ll see if he gets back to me.

“This bulldozer comes out of nowhere,” Pierce said, “and knocks that flaming truck next to me out of the way.”

I had not read this in other reports. Who's this guy?

Probably the fire-crew. When the fire originally broke out they ordered 5 bulldozers I think.

I have cousins that have worked for cal fire for years and one that has his heavy equipment license and has got side jobs working for private contractors that get hired by the state or feds to help fight big fires. A lot of these people have no experience fighting fires and are grunt grounders. Extra people to help make fire lines and access roads or go around after the fire to turn dirt and put out smolders some using heavy equipment.
My cousin was telling me about the Sandy fire he was working on. He was working an excavator and another guy was working a bulldozer making fire lines or access roads when they got a call the winds had changed and they needed to get out. They started heading back. My cousin was following the dozer when he saw him stop up the road so he stopped. Out of nowhere about 15 guys on the ground came out of the trees and brush. They were hired by one of these contractors to help fight the fire and had got lost in the smoke and didn’t know where they were. They heard the equipment and ran towards the noise. My cousin and the bulldozer ended up loading guys in the buckets and others hung on to the sides and they took them out of there. About an hour later that entire area was lit up. If they wouldn’t have been there or would have been another minute down the road they wouldn’t have seen those guys. I don’t think they would have made it. I’ve heard lots of stories over the years like this but that one always makes me smile. I can just picture a dozer and excavator coming out of the smoke in slow motion loaded up with a bunch of guys on a road they just made. So awsome!

F yea!!! That’s an awesome story!!!!
I worked our property over on a D5 this year for many hours - they are amazing machines, and LOUD as F!!!! Your story totally makes sense that they heard it! Even with muffs on it was loud with the tracks “clink clink clink clink clink”
My neighbors a mile away knew when I was working.

Toyota stood up a few days ago and posted for him not to worry about replacing his truck...they are taking care of him with a new Tundra. I also believe the BF Goodrich promised to replace his tire upgrade. There's also supposed to be a go-fund-me to cover his other upgrades.

Another suspension vendor is stepping up to cover his suspension lift (its in this thread). We are truly “home of the brave” and generous.

Toyota, BFGoodrich, and all of the other companies stepping up are amazing. People can argue PR all that they want, but the bottom line is that these companies’ generosity will help someone in need that sacrificed for others even while he was losing everything.

This guy absolutely deserves everything that is being offered and done for him. While I was reading the various stories about this what stuck out in my mind was what about the guy in the bulldozer that moved burning cars out of the way. He needs be thanked as well. they are both heros in my mind.
