This morning was the first time I drove it after the lift. I didn't want to drive until I was on the way to get it aligned. I am really happy with the ride now. It actually feels like I'm driving a truck. 700 pound springs really is the way to go with these trucks. The whole truck feels tighter now and more controlled. Definitely all I was hoping for. I'm getting an alignment done right now, but I'll get some pics afterwards. Next up will be tires. The 285 55s that came with it are still on it... they look just a little small now! I'm trying to decide between toyo rt's and Nitto exo grapplers. My truck does see some mud when I have to meet at a railroad crossing. And I've had to put it in 4x4 to get out of the muddy places I park. But I love having the severe weather rated tires. When we get winter down here it's usually hard packed snow that turns to slick ice. The bfgs I have now got me thru that flawlessly, but suck in the mud.

Bad news... fat bobs sent me a defect. :/ a piece of the rubber pad was torn out and the rest popped out. I noticed it looked a hair low on the drivers side and found this. Man I'm sick to my stomach that I have to tear this damn thing out again. Called fat bobs and sent a picture. They are supposed to call me back in a minute. Guess I'll see how good they are with taking care of a customer.

Totally deflating situation. Nothings worse than putting in a ton of effort to have a set back like that. Hopefully the situation gets taken care of promptly.

Fat Bobs needs to come thru big time. No reason for any one to miss that before it shipped.

I wanted to curse... but I was pretty dismayed to be honest. To top it off I found out bobs filed for bankruptcy!!!! They sent me an email a replacement coilover is being sent to me so that's good. After I get it I have to send the old one back.... if they are still there. Anyway I plan to run these until I got the funds to buy a set of icon with resi all the way around. So hopefully they last with no problems after this. Sometimes I have some really bad luck! But oh well nothing I can do about it but hope for the best. The truck rides great but I had to crank that one side up to make up for the pad being broke. I guess the worst part about it is the time lost with the family doing all this. @Sean266 you going to make a post not to buy from fat bobs??? Sucks but they are still selling and who knows if people will get what they order....

I always try to find a positive from a negative. At least it happened right away. That's not much of a positive but a start. Sheesh.

Filing for Bankruptcy is never a good sign, at least your getting to them before the doors close! ICONS are on my list too, but not till I wear out this PRO setup. I guess you'll have to make the swap a family outing? :) Best of Luck!

It's supposed to show up tomorrow... I'm just hoping it's the right part and nothing is wrong with it. They really could care less when you call. I had to keep calling to make sure they shipped it and finally they did. I definitely won't buy anything else from them, new management or not. When these go out I'm just going to slap a pair of icon Or kings on it and call it a day! I'm hoping it will get here early and I can have it finished by tomorrow.

I guess there was two good things to this experience, other than the fact that I have a nice coilover lift now. One, I learned that I can install a coilover in just about half an hour. And two, the coilover they sent needed no adjustments. Not really sure how that happened, since the others were way off. I measured the replacement and counted the threads and it was dead on when I measured after it was on. I'm still not convinced I'd order from bobs again, but to thier credit, they did send me a replacement during bankruptcy and buy out. All in all I'm happy. Next up will be 35 inch toyo a2 extreme. Decided they fit the bill for me over the r/t's. Then when black Friday comes along I'll get a set of rear icon shocks with adjusters. I think I'm going with icon anyway.
