No, but if you have the trail tune and a 4x4, switch into 4lo and try it....

If i'm not mistaken premium is the actual performance changed name after the recent update.

Yes, that's true. No Sean, I didn't try it. Everything that I've been told or read, the trail runs better. Apparently you shouldn't tow with that setting and to me it defeats the purpose of having a truck. The guy that did my exhaust worked with BD to develop the trail tune specifically for the tundra.

That's awesome!! Well they probably just advise it to be cautious cause I'm sure your not supposed to tow with the peformance tune but ppl still do it you know?

Cause the time I use performance I was getting 6mpg

Well the trail tune with performance shifting isn't half bad the power is definitely there shifting seems a little firmer but not by much.

Wet down here in Corpus so full traction isn't on my side may make a difference dry.

its not a jerk your head back shift, but doesn't have the huge lazy lag the stock programming has. I love it

Didn't get to test it much this morning still wet and raining out here, what I did kind of notice and maybe it's just my truck with the performance shifting seems like the tranny runs to higher rpms before shifting but it does seem to shift quicker.

Yeah but I like it overall. Thinking I may change up the tunes again and do a tow tune with performance shifting.

The thing I like the most is to me some American vehicles will shift a little firm, but forgein cars have a smoother shift.

I usually run a tow tune, with economy throttle and stock shifting and I love it. Gives me my best mpgs, even though I don't have the launch like the performance does but it's still got a good little pep to it on take off.

Going to be a while currently out of town working and the comp I use is at home so, may be a little while before I get around to doing it. Unless I can change the tunes without having to use the computer then I can do it tonight.

Torque App and this gizmo... After looking at these for a while, this one was the best bang for my buck. Supposedly fast, but haven't tried it yet. Just got it today. But two things stood out from the literature on it. It shuts itself off when the trucks off and has some kind of surge protection not to catch fire. Not sure if that's a big problem, but safety first!

It won't read HP and tq at the wheel, but it will read from the crank. I wanted it to see what HP and tq looked like with my exhaust and the tune installed as well as AFR numbers.

Well I took a trip to Colorado a couple weeks ago and due to having the tq app found out my truck thought it was running ethanol. It was 20 and below in the mountains and took my truck three times to start every morning, so I found some posts online that I could check ethanol levels with the tq app. Sure enough it was reading as high as 86% ethanol. I was concerned that it was my programmer or bad gas because I thought my ecu had the latest update for flex fuel trucks.

When I got home, I uninstalled the programmer and still the truck thought it was running ethanol. I had fueled up a few time on the way home with only shell gas. So I took the truck in and was told they had updated the ecu to fix that and that mine was old by two updates. Since, the truck has read zero on ethanol so I'm pretty happy.

I still haven't had time to install my programmer and the truck starts way different than it has in over a year. Before it just sort of started and now it starts with a forceful start like it should. Not to mention, even without the tuner I'm avg 13.8 mph.

So in retrospect, I believe it's though it had ethanol for a long time! I wish I had had that obd dongle and the tq app a long time ago. The truck has so much more go to it even without the tuner.

I'll update here after I get the tuner back on.
