Anyone else have this issue. Remote start vehicle (fob or app, doesn't matter). Touch door handle or press the unlock button on the fob, the truck does nothing, won't unlock or turn off the engine. The only way to unlock is to use the app.

Then, after using the app to unlock, to start the engine I have to put the key next to the button as requested on the dash.

Check the battery on your fob, it may be dead.

Mine has a similar bug. If I unlock door with app, I can’t start the truck, just get an error on the dash telling me I need the key fob. I have to use the remote to lock and unlock then everything works.

Fob works fine when the truck is not remote started. Unlock, lock remote start and touch unlock/lock all work fine.

Was gana say this - you should link the fob you have in your pocket to the profile when it starts. Make sure you dont have the other fob with you when you do it.

Does it happen with both FOBs? I realize you may not have both yet but thought I'd ask. Either way, even though the FOB seems to be working ok, I'd replace the battery just in case it's weak.

Check your battery connections too. When I disconnected my battery for grill swap my fob acted screwy shorty after, I got the message to hold it on the start button. Only happened once though

Yep, I've deleted the profile and re-attached it to the fob.

This one I have not tried. I'll try it today and see what happens.

Yea, once I wouldn't think much of it. Every time I use remote start tho, is a totally different story.

Weird enough, I noticed that if I don't interrupt the 10 min countdown to when the engine shuts off on its own. Then, the issue is nowhere to be found, it seems to only be an issue during the countdown itself.

With all the electronics today who knows. But if you will, a bit of a hail Mary . If the battery on the fob is weak, using it to start the truck might deplete it enough temporarily to not be able to give out a strong enough signal till it recovers.

Here is a odd question for you. Is the truck in the garage when this happens?
Story time - couple of years ago I replaced the light bulbs in my garage door motor with LEDs . After doing this in the morning I would start the truck "key operated at that time" open the door and back out but my garage door opener would not close the garage door. Long story short after searching the internet found out that the electronic pulse from the LED light bulb was interfering with the garage door signal. Change to a different light bulb and everything was back to normal.

I've had similar experience with LEDs i used to replace fluorescent lights in the garage. Didn’t affect the opener but definitely messed with FM radio reception. Cheapo LEDs were the problem.
