Truck staying in "trailer mode" after disconnected

First two times I have hooked up to our travel trailer, I have noticed something strange. When you connect the trailer and it recognizes there's a trailer back there, it turns off RCTA, sets BSM to trailer mode, etc. Great, that's what it's supposed to do. Problem is, once the trailer is disconnected the truck continues to say the same thing at startup, even with no trailer connected.

And you can even turn RCTA back on through the center console. After a day or so it all goes away and everything is back to normal. Has anyone else seen this issue?

 

Yup same issue last week when I used our 17ft open trailer to haul our SxS to the shop. And went away on the next drive.

 

Both times I have had the trailer hooked up, for the remainder of that day after the trailer was disconnected, the truck was in trailer mode. I don't recall making a long drive after disconnecting, but one of the two times I did make multiple short drives.

 

Mine stays in trailer mode for a minute or two the first time I start it after disconnecting, but it clears pretty quickly.

 

After i tow my little 5x8 trailer and disconnect it, the trailer mode goes away before i make it to the next street.

 

You can go into the trailer menu and deselect the trailer, the system will go back to normal.
