Truck shut off while driving

    Thank you.. I will forward that on to the new mechanic. I am so tired and upset of not having our vehicle since last year.

    I threw the parts cannon at mine. Same issue. Driving down the road and everything shut down. Lights going off everywhere. Waited a few minutes. Cranked and limped home. Changed the fuel damper and regulator suspecting fuel delivery problem. Truck would start then shut off after 5 minutes of idle. Did a tap check on the air cleaner and throttle body. Engine ran fine until a tap on the MAF sensor. Then it shut down. Started her up and ran fine until another tap. same result. Replaced MAF sensor with OEM and now she runs great. Give it a try.

    Great! At this point anything to try is worth checking. It cranks, drives and runs fine until it dies then all the lights etc goes off. Wait several days and you can go back and crank it up again, drive and run until it dies with no codes at all.
