I tend to beleive those Coils are real but it's worth mentioning my counterfeit Denso spark plugs also said they were the real deal. Nearly destroyed the engine in the Rav4.

Amazon does seem more credible than eBay though.

At this point a scan tool that can view long term and short term fuel trims is needed

Speaking on knock offs. I have a g37 in the garage that has “oem” Denso sensors from eBay put in.

the plugs are junk 500 miles later. Clear knock off when next to the true Denso plugs

Which big gurl store did you use for those plugs? For mechanicals, I tend to stay away from ones that sound Chinese or their descriptions box verb-ages read like my Sensei Foo Man Choo describing wax on/off.

You can link from Denso.com to a Denso online store provider (not related to Denso) and pay more with shipping versus going to Big Gurl Denso if you are worried. But how do I know those aren’t junk?

Morning guys, update: my truck is running a bit better. But it doesnt seem right stil. When coasting the exhaust just does not sound smooth, and around 1,000 rpms the truck kinda shakes while in park.

I doubt my 1st mechanic is right, but anyways i put a can of seafoam in the gas tank and drove on the highway with my o/d off for a bit. Just to see if that will help.

Sorry, I realized my post wasn't very clear. I ordered mine from eBay. But some people have reported getting fake ones from Big Gurl. This is all 2nd hand though so who knows. I just know mine were fake.

Yeah I remember and glad you saw and fixed it. I hope these online stores clean up their acts in terms of these scam parts.

Tbh, I'm only going to order from the websites that denso gives as places to buy from according to their website. I will end up spending like 30-40 more bucks, but all i want is to have some peace of mind ;)

Went out on break time, the truck has an occasional stumble at idle. But if i hold the rpms around 1,000 rpms the truck starts to shake..

@Pucks18 if I were you, I'd make a trip over to Schererville and visit Mr. Lord and have him look your truck over. If I lived that close to a good Toyota tech like him, they'd get tired of seeing my ugly mug real quick.

I will if my next mechanic cannot take care of this. I am a broke 20 year old and just got bamboozled by one mechanic for 134 bucks lolol. I am praying i dont have to take it anywhere else but will take it to indiana if this doesnt fix the problem

Update: truck is running better. No more violent shaking while in drive, but the idle is either extremely smooth sometimes, or a bit rough as i can feel it idling in not the smoothest fashion. My new favorite mechanic who charged me nothing for 2 hours of his time said his fancy scan tool (scotty kilmer voice) reported zero misfires. So I'm either crazy or my motor mounts aint as good. Still not 100 percent happy with where its at cause i want that buttery smooth idle back.just dumped 32oz of techron in a quarter tank of gas and put a half tank in. Thatll do hahaha

Mines got a slight stumble at idle. Always has as well as many other I’ve driven.

Even with the slight stumble I can feel, I can balance a coin on the engine idling.
