I highly recommend the ergo grip as well. I usually had two comments when someone shot this weapon.

    1) loved the grip and trigger

    2) change that fucking muzzle device out.

Build yourself an AR. It's incredibly satisfying.

    Thanks.

The weight depended on the magazine installed. That was two 40+1 round mags locked together. I wouldn’t want to hump that around for long distances. See why it sunk to the bottom of the lake so quickly?

I’m good in that department. I just so happen to know a team of divers that could go down and get it for me. Thanks though. ;)

I'd love some optics but really I'd like to just have a Colt carry handle to replace the flip up rears. I'm a "purest" and like the carry handle look yet I'm too cheap to drop $120 on a handle plus I want a Colt handle not a run of the mill model.

I prefer M193 55gr for range time. I shoot a lot Of PMC Bronze and Wolf Gold (brass Taiwanese M193). My “go to” mags are loaded with 77gr OTM like Black Hills or Magtech MK262 Mod 1.

The 62gr steel core green tip is good too, just not necessarily a good defensive round or a good and economical practice round.

Back in the day you could find Colt carry handles for cheap. But when they stopped shipping rifles with them they kind of dried up. Also, Colt doesn’t mark their handles with a C like they do their other components. They just have your typical square or keyhole forge marking. So finding a true Colt handle is tough unless you trust the seller.

I’ve built a couple ARs using Palmetto State Armory. Much cheaper and tremendous satisfaction. You will laugh at the pre build gun store quality and price. Currently working on 7” pistol build.

Also look at LaRue tactical for triggers.

Leaving plenty of cash for Tundra mods.

There is a ton of good information here. You will want to change your rifle and upgrade it. Going with the stripped rifle and finishing it out yourself is a great way to go.

I love my rock river LAR-15 X1. Have shot many a round through it without any problems. Just looks sweet too. I ended up poking around on AR-15.com and found a guy out in MA that was the largest RRA dealer in the US. He saved me a few hundred over anything I could find price wise. Paid him and it drop shipped from the factory that is an hour down the road. https://www.rockriverarms.com/index...onid=5D2AF858E83DA4503B3CE3A788270A01.cfusion
