I am in despair. I had a self inflicted accident yesterday. I jackknifed a trailer and tore the hell out of the side of my truck bed. I am so pissed! My first accident in 30 years. Out of all them years of driving 5 ton trucks pulling 65' Howitzers in the US Marine Corp, and an immaculate driving record since then, I now find myself in need of a bed and a bumper for my 2008 Tundra, Extended Cab,6.5'. Tis a sad day! Let me know if any one of you can hook a brotha up. It does not have a rear video camera. I do not know if it is the sport package. How can you tell? Thanks in advance.20210425_132117.jpg 20210425_132133.jpg 20210425_132146_001.jpg 20210425_132108.jpg

Bud it’s not a big deal. Shit happens. Where ya located? You don’t have the sport package. They have painted bumpers instead of chrome.

How would anyone hook you up?

Doesn't your car insurance cover it?

    ^^^ what he said

if that doesn’t work, maybe try car-part.com and cast a wide net in your search.

NOT Mine just did some facebook marketplace search. Read the listing on the right they seem to have a 07 Toyota tundra 6ft Bed Black $1,600 + 6% sales tax

Another DYI approach is to walk to your local Iaai or Copart ( i believe you need to have a membership that is free to sign up ) center and see if they have a tundra that's nonrepairable. That way you can pick the parts off it as you want and then you can just junk it

    Good Luck.

Yes, I have insurance, and yes, they will cover my vehicle. I'm just looking for a truck bed, if that's ok. Sorry. Not meaning to sound rude. Just don't know the extent of things you can do or talk about on this forum.

I love this! Is this yours? Where can I find places that build flat beds like that? I don't know what kind of business it is or what it's called so I can look it up.

It's not mine... I think it's custom made, but a search for something in your general area should reveal something.

A flatbed is something I have considered for my regular cab.

A body shop would just replace the side of the bed unless there's extensive rust underneath. That's the route I would go. By the time you locate a good bed and get it home you will still have to have it painted. By that time I think you'll find you'll have more into it than just repairing what you have.

BTW I would think about replacing those tires. They look pretty warn to me.

I've got a set of tires sitting in my building, waiting to go on, as soon as I get the bed fixed

I think a gen 3 bed will fit as well. I would upgrade to one imo.

I hate that feeling of racking up a car. I've had it happen a couple times in my life.

That has to suck. You might get lucky and run into a deal like this. You would have to get it painted to match.
