I am not a big fan of trees around my house, and over the years have battled the pine needles, leafs, branches in gutters, foundation issues, and sewer pipe replacement (lucky it wasn't me, my BIL got the $8K bill).

I have always told one of my lifetime friends he needed to either cut down or trim his tree in the back yard. Well, 10 years later it happened. High winds, Hail, and then the rain came (of course it did). So far, he is looking at 60-70K in damages to his home and will be out for 2-3 months.

Right now, this week it has been storming pretty bad in CO, and couldn't come at a worse time. They were married at my house this past Saturday, and two days later this happens.

I got the call about this, and come to find out it is harder to find a place to stay with a police dog and a couple small dogs. Yesterday I offered up my RV for them to live in as long as they needed, but still will not be home. Getting my TT out of Lake TJ was fun as well...

Locker for the win...and my yard will need some repair after mud bogging with this and a truck. Good times!!

Moral to the story, take care of the trees around your home. I cut down 6 very large trees around my home that were just waiting to crash into it.

I served with him in Iraq, been best of friends since early 90’s.

My Dad always said that I would meet lifelong friends in the military. He was correct. He still has Vietnam veteran era friends.

    Thanks Pat.

I still haven’t put the snow shovel away from when you were over for the Tundra Party.

Chris, I’m terribly sorry to hear this. I hate when terrible stuff happens to good people. I wish I was there to offer assistance in any way. Just know you and his family will be in my thoughts! I promise

I have had hail pile up here at my house twice this week!
On Monday I had a river in the back yard and a lake in the cul de sac in the front. It actually moved my river rock to the south end of my yard.

It sure has been a weird year for CO.

I went through the Spring Fire burn area on Sunday. Wow to say the least.

Weird for sure. It seems whenever we have bad fire seasons mama nature likes to add insult to injury.
