I did vinyl because I figured it would be more resistant to scratches and easier to clean.

The parts guy at McGeorge ignored my second order thinking it was the same as the first that didn't go through, despite both charges going through and an order number. Not impressed with them at all, glad this is the only time I'll be dealing with them.

I would remove the whole center console to access the trim around cup holders and the outer trim around shift knob. The chrome cup holder trim is easy to remove and with the console out, just push the tabs from the inside so there is no risk of breakage.

The outer trim around the shift knob is a whole different story. It is removable, but you will have to drill out the plastic rivets on the underside. Even after drilling out the rivets, you’ll have to pry the trim apart. It appears as though the console and silver trim are fused together pretty well where the rivets were melted shut. It will almost feel like you are about to break the trim.

As for the inner chrome trim around shift knob, I recommend just spraying or plasti-dipping this part. Mine is wrapped, but it took too long and looks terrible up close. You will have to remove the whole piece surrounding the shifter to access the inner chrome trim. This trim piece is also held in by 6 plastic rivets that will have to be drilled out or cut off.

Sorry I didn’t take any pictures, but if you have any questions, just let me know.

I took the trim off. I'm just gonna plasti dip the inner trim for shift knob. That part does look like a pain to wrap. For the outer trim, I see the plastic rivets you had to drill out to take it apart. After you wrapped it, did you re-melt those rivets back in or something? If not, how did you reconnect it? I see there's other tabs that hold it, is that all you did was let those tabs hold it & just forget about the plastic rivets? If that's what you did...does it move around at all?

I just put everything back together as is. I have not had a problem with anything moving around or rattling. My plan was to take the inner trim around the shift knob and paint it instead of the wrap so I didn’t glue anything down for easy access. Even then, I have had no issues.
