My order from St Charles Toyota in IL shipped free, but there was taxes charged. Look at your cart closely - after you put in the shipping address and coupon you will still see a shipping charge, but you should see a coupon credit down in the line items that matches your shipping cost.

Worked for me now as well. Definitely needed to pay attention. It shows the shipping cost all the way through but the math doesn’t add up. You’re just seeing your item cost plus taxes. In your final receipt that you get it will actually show a credit / discount for the cost of shipping. Not sure why it doesn’t do that till checkout, but it definitely applied the code

Neither is my local dealer so happy to give the business elsewhere but I checked first, oh well. Actually one dealer locally only quoted prices for RSB, skid plate and etc WITH install labor cost attached no separate pricing I was like hell no

Speaking of skid plate, I can get it for $292 plus tax for TRD Pro version which has access hatch for oil changes. Vs RCI with 15% off currently I’d be thinking aluminum no coating it would be about $30 more and have to pay shipping at another $47 calculated. Any preferences or opinions? Worth it the extra for RCI or just stay with OEM stuff?

"Ordered" a rear, the site had an error after I submit on the payment screen but they took my money.

Edit: Sent an email, they said it didn't actually go through, the "pending" in my bank account should clear in 24-48 hours. Properly ordered one and got an order number.

Toyota recently got into the online parts thing themselves, probably from seeing how well a few of the dealers (like myself) are doing online, and that's where this sale is coming from. Toyota is offering the free shipping, not the dealership themselves. Basically, Toyota is flexing their corporate muscles on us dealers who have been doing parts online for years.

It's good for you guys, though, as far as getting a super low price.

Gotcha, so this is Toyota corporate selling parts and just using the dealer name? I was wondering why all the sites looked similar.

That is correct. Every dealer that signed up for Toyota's online parts program all go through the same system. The dealership sets the price, but it is a Toyota program. Toyota, being a giant multinational corporation, gets some pretty good discounts on their shipping prices. This is how they're able to do the free shipping deal. Being a small business in Franklin, TN, doesn't afford me those types of discounts, unfortunately. It's a jab for sure, but they can't come close to offering the level of service I am able to provide. For example, you won't see any of those guys posting up information and answers in an online forum. ;)

I agree @Roman and the reason I still plan on purchasing from you, You have helped so many members track down parts and part#'s that we would otherwise get the run around on. Unfortunate that corporate Toyota is taking a bite into your business.

Well, I got my sway bar, but there was some kind of end link in with it. Anyone know what this thing is? It’s probably 14” long and 5 lbs.

Not sure what that is. Looks like some kinda of link or arm.
One thing is for sure, its not part of the rear sway bar kit.

i went into my local dealer (possibly mentioned in this post somewhere) for my 1st complimentary service the other day, went to the parts counter while waiting just for the heck of it and asked about color matching my grill on my truck...there was a lot of head scratching, the poor guy looked at me like i was talking to my dog. When it comes time ill be in touch!

It does have a number molded into it, but I think it’s a manu number because it doesn’t cross reference to any Toyota #.

I vinyl wrapped all three trim pieces with 3M 1080 Deep Matte Black Vinyl.

If I were to do it again, I would just spray the chrome trim around the shift knob.
