I did the same.. uggh.. I still need to repair the thread and will use a helicoil. I think the shape of those bolts makes them prone to cross threading...

Sorry you had that happen to you as well, but it does make me feel a little better about my situation that I'm not the only one who did it. Hope you figure it out, and if you do, post some pics. I'm not sure if ill fix the cross threaded one or just leave it in for now

@4R0Z3N - update - the TRD sway bar eliminated *most* of the rubbing (35x12.5 KO2s on 20" TRD Offroad Wheels).
now there is no rub in reverse, and less but still a little bit of tread catching when in drive
given that i exclusively back into parking spots it's not a major issue, I like the wheels and stance currently and rather not do any spacers or aftermarket wheels. likely this is how my pavement princess will be set up for the foreseeable future....

turning radius is definitely better now, but dangit it does still rub... since the 285/75/18 you're running is closer to 35x11.5 I'll bet the sway bar would fully clear any rubbing you're having

Is there any way you could snag a picture of the rubbing? Probably a bit of effort, so totally understand if you don't want to. I'm looking at your exact setup and just curious what to expect.

here go - it's actually only the driver side that is rubbing, 5500 miles on it and haven't had alignment checked which I'll likely have done in short order. the sway bar seems to be nice and centered with the pass/driver stops up against the bushings.

prior to the red one I had pretty substantial rubbing on both sides in forward and reverse, so it's definitely an improvement

It looks like you kept the sway bar spacer from the 3 inch lift when doing the trd pro sway bar. What was the reasoning in keeping the spacer? I thought one of the benefits of doing the pro sway bar was it allows you to remove that 3 inch lift spacer which gives you more tire clearance?

Think the consensus is that the TRD Pro sway bar is built for the pre-3" lift angle and so it requires the drop spacers to operate as designed with the 3" lift kit.

Hmm, with 285/65/20s with the trd pro bar will it rub if keeping the spacers? I see with 35x12.5 rubs.

    None at this point.
Back in my Tacoma days it was the first things we removed.
That way you had true independent suspension.
    Then came the quick disconnects.
Pull a pin and tie up the sway bar.
