Most of them that look like that up here have the chrome door edge trim on every edge where it can be applied, and chrome knick knacks everywhere.

Not my style...but if it makes em happy who am i to judge?

Same up here. Riced out cars with high schoolers driving em (usually).
I think we all went through that phase to some extent. I had a ‘90 Camaro RS with a giant ‘chevrolet’ sticker across the top of my windshield so I cant say dick. “Fastest car in the trailer park”.

Wait, I'm confused. (Not unusual, actually)

My '19 SR5 TRD 4X4 OR has a rear sway bar... What am I missing here?

    20230105_110818.jpg

While I'm definitely not a fan of all the chrome, I'm even less of a fan of 20" wheels. I don't do as much off roading as I'd like, and really nothing crazy at that, but I do want some capability to go exploring the desert.

    20190331_112235.jpg

OP, mine was a CPO with only 20K miles just under the $45K cap you mentioned, so you should be able to find one you like right in that range unless your time crunch doesn't let you shop around and be patient.

:D I had a black Audi 4000 Quatro with limo tint and "Get AUDI my way" across the top of the windshield.

    Not my proudest moment.

I think you answered it. Your previous owner likely installed one. Maybe the dealer did? Typically not part of the OR package.

Interesting... I just assumed it was stock. My previous one was a 2000 with 200K so I'm not exactly up on current models.:notsure:

My understanding is that it was a lease so that seems weird that either Lessee or dealer would bother, but nonetheless, there it is.

Kind of a nice little bonus I guess, considering.

There’s not a ton of difference in terms of utility. Mild on-road package (with fake hood scoop) vs mild off-road package. I don’t know if the Sport package includes the Pro LEDs or dual climate.

I bought a color matched surround, and color matched bumper caps literally fell into my lap from a guy who offered them to me. I still think my truck looked just fine before getting rid of all the chrome.

I think that all the chrome haters got old, and now that it’s an old man thing to want everything color matched. :D Here’s a pic from before the de-chroming of my truck. I don’t mind it at all :notsure:

Very nice looking rig. What kind of tires are those?

I don't exactly "Hate" the chrome on mine. It certainly doesn't bug me enough to spend time and money to color match, chrome has just never been my favorite look... (Even before I was old) :(

My dream combo would have been

    OR 18 Wheels
    OR Shocks
    OR Hood No Scoop
    Sport Sway Bar
    Sport Color match

In the later model years you can get SR5's loaded up. I basically have a Limited with cloth seats. I've always liked mid trims. My Ram was a Big Horn and F150 an XLT. While the Chrome is generally frowned upon it does resist damage from rocks and debris arguably better than paint.

so I found a CPO 2020 Limited TRD OffRoad 500 miles from my house...I can not find anywhere what size tank it has. I've read that the 38 gallon tank is standard in the Limiteds, but have not read that anywhere reliable, can anyone confirm this? The Limited is a slightly higher in price (about $2500) than SR5 TRDs (Sport & OR) with the same mileage that I'm finding. From a 2 or 3 year old thread I came across on here, it seems like the Limited is worth the extra coin and most people chiming in were telling the poster to go for the Limited if the were close in price to the SR5. I'm wondering if that opinion on the older thread has changed or if it's stood the tests of time? It seems to me the smarter decision even just based purely on resale value. It seems like the Limiteds definitely command a higher price as the mileage gets up there. While I'm not a fan of the chrome, I can live with it and don't want to factor that into the decision. I'm probably calling the dealer today to touch base.

Once again, thank for the help fellas!!

The off roads are country trucks and the sports are big city trucks

go run a sport and off road thru heavy brush and look at the bumpers when done.

Limited+ comes with 38 gallon tank regardless of options. SR/SR5 requires the convenience package (or something similarly named) iirc

Besides that, really the biggest difference is leather/moonroof options for limited. You can get leather on SR5, but I don't think you can get the TRD packages as well. Likewise, you get dualzone standard on limited whereas you have to get a TRD package for it on a 20/21 SR5. Ultimately, if you added the TRD package to an SR5 the MSRP came out only ~$1000 less than a non-moonroof limited, which accounts for the leather standard on the limited trim.

Since you get most of the TRD options standard on a limited, the price to add the TRD package was only a couple hundred $ originally (vs ~$1500 for adding the package to an SR5).

Wow, typing this took me back to my neurotic search for my Tundra

Agreed, the chrome doesn't look too bad when it accents a dark color, but it just doesn't work on a lighter vehicle color imo

If you like this truck, this one will keep you happy for long time. Limited is a good middle of the road trim that gives you a handful of options with out getting overboard.

A fully loaded SR5 like mine is heated leather seats + passenger power seat away from a Limited. I didn't want a moon roof anyway. I will be adding seat heat and maybe some Katskinz leather eventually.

I read somewhere that the Limited seats weren't as comfortable as the cloth or Platinum seats. :notsure:

Sounds like the Limited is most probably a 38 gallon tank, so if mileage is the same and you like the color, I would go for it. They all seem to hold their value.

TRD sport and off-road is a package they are all under SR5, limited is the mid grade trim level.
