The TRD one is just under 30 lbs. I'll weigh the eBay one and see if there's a difference. But I must say they look to be the same diameter bar. The only differentiation would then be the quality of steel.

So it may have been answered in this thread somewhere, i though I looked through it all though. I am wanting to purchase a TRD Sway bar but I have a 3/1 level kit. Will it still work? is there any mods I have to do to make it work or what?

Yes. My 08 has the 3 in 1 kit along with the factory hitch. Easy to install and well worth it.

Just to second the reply, I'm running 1.5" shackles in the rear and the RSB works just fine.

eBay special looks good. That's about it. Main bar is 6.5lbs and the nuts dont thread on the bolts. RETURN TO SELLER! Get the OEM TRD one.

03909DEE-8741-4660-B854-278413027E41.jpg Got it in on Monday and drove to the mountains yesterday. The truck drove awesome, can definitely tell a positive difference. Highly recommend doing this. It’s not too expensive and it’s an easy project.

I spent 220.00 and installed myself. I got estimates from the dealership wanted 269.00 for part and 130.00 to install 4B1ED652-3217-4F60-A4FE-2AC810112631.jpg

Installed mine on Friday. What a difference in the way the truck takes corners.

Just purchased from Sparks. $229 shipped after using the forum discount code. Will be installing myself if it comes in before the weekend.

Install was very simple...having an impact gun made it stupid simple to get those hitch bolts off. It took me 45 minutes after taking breaks every step.

Agree with having the impact wrench. That would've been the hardest part of the install, IMO if you had to remove those 2 bolts with a socket and ratchet.

So, I don't have a proper impact gun. Looks like ill be getting the breaker bar out if I can make that work. If not ill just yell and scream at it until it breaks free.

I had success with a breaker bar but my truck was new so on an older truck any corrosion might make require an impact gun.

Breaker bar was easy on my truck at about 2 years old, but mine hasn’t seen much salt.

I have looked at all options but I find it easier and cheaper to have my 300 lb girlfriend ride in the bed of the truck and just lean the opposite way of the turn

Ya know fellas, being an old plumber just take a one foot or so piece of iron pipe that fits over your ratchet or breaker bar and things get a whole lot easier. From what I've read some of you are beating yourselves up.

Except you may need to replace the ratchet. The ratchets are not designed for that amount of stress. Harbor Freight breaker bar was $15. BUT have you tried the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2" High Torque Impact Wrench model 2767? Great excuse for a new tool - $208 without battery. It is a BEAST and makes everything simple.

Or use Aerokroil. I have no idea what's in it, but it loosens up seized bolts...very well.
