Hi folks, when I was going to order a trd rear sway bar for my 4.6 SR5 CM the description said for 5.7 models only. I searched the forum and the web to see if anyone had installed on a 4.6 truck to see if it would work but didn’t find anything. My concern is the 4.6 comes with the 9.5 rear rather then the 10.5, maybe the axel tubes are the same and it would fit without an issue but I’m trying to get some info before I order. Thanks in advance for any information.

The 9.5 axle tubes will be smaller, the u bolts and bracket are designed to fit the 10.5 snugly. You may have to fabricate a spacer to get the u bolts and bracket to fit. There are threads left on the u bolts once installed on a 10.5 so it might fit the 9.5 without modifications but if it does not fit snugly then any movement while the vehicle is in motion will reduce the effectiveness of the sway bar.

Thanks this was why I was looking for , someone who had done this upgrade. No issues with the axel tubes being smaller or anything?

Nope, no problems at all. I just wish they were painted black!

Installed a rear trd sway bar on my 2018 4.6 CM today with out an issue. Fit perfectly. The axel tubes must be the same diameter. Thanks again everyone for your comments
