I would seriously consider, but being in California it's just too far/expensive to fly/drive or have shipped.

I found 1 in Texas with low miles, excellent price and my color (Lunar Rock), and for some crazy reason they don't sell to California because of strict emissions. Frustrating considering it's a Toyota dealer and all Toyotas are built 50 State legal. It would have only been $1K to ship it to me.

    Bummer

Sorry to hear. My friend at work had someone from California buy his Evo. And we are in Pa. His brother picked it up and trailer it back home.

I bought my '21 Pro from a dealer in Iowa and paid to have it shipped to the west coast. Just under $2k for the shipping, but cheaper than buying local w/all the ADM and BS add-ons at the time (by nearly $4.5k)...

I think the bottom line is... trucks aren't cheap, so find exactly what's going to make you happen and then make it happen!!!

Not much of a difference between $50k and $52k or between $55k and $57k when it's all said and done

Agreed, but I had found 1 that was Toy Certified with 16K miles for $55k. Shipping and tax would put me at $60-61. buying at $60 + tax and reg + $2K+ for shipping would put me around $68-69.

Tax and reg you're going to pay regardless of where you purchase... So the only real variables are price of the truck and shipping or travel expenses for you if you're purchasing out of your immediate area.

My point was simply, don't let a $1,500-$2,000 shipping or travel cost deter you from buying the right truck if you happen to find it. These trucks will become harder and harder to find, but they are out there; just be ready to pull the trigger when you cross paths w/the right one.

I’ve flown out of state from Texas twice to buy a Tundra. First was a 1st gen in Nebraska. Drove it home. My current (and 300k+) truck, I flew to Ohio and drove it home. If it’s the truck for you, the drive home is a pleasure.

I ended up buying the Lunar Rock posted on the forum here. It’s getting picked up for transport today. Unable to fly drive from PA to CA right now. I had knee surgery a couple weeks ago so just not a reality for me. But either way, I’m ending up with a prime specimen.

So far, I'm loving my '21 Pro, and I'm sure you'll enjoy your new rig as well!!! I've never seen it in person, but from what I can tell based on his posts, pics and such you're going to be getting a well-maintained, never abused, last of the V-8 Pros

Congrats, and we look forward to seeing what you end up doing with it!

Congratulations! How much it costs for the transporting to CA?
