My Pro Grill just came in today, will be picking up soon. Still undecided on light config. I think I'm leaning towards ID markers (Raptor lights), DD stealth bumper light bar and DD fogs so everything is amber and matching.

What about the grille light bar?

Also, the marker lights, depending on the brand you use might not match. I've seen some setup have 3 different hues of amber which, (fogs, 2 light bars, amber sequential lights) to me, looks weird.

Yea that’s what I’m concerned about. I don’t want 50 shades of yellow lol. I was going to go with the OEM Raptor lights to go with the OEM grill. Then diode dynamics for the fogs and light bars. I’m thinking of grill bar or bumper bar but not sure I want both. Open to any thoughts or suggestions

I'm in the process of doing this too. Have my grill with the OEM marker lights. I went with a white light bar from Baja Designs. Not into trying to match all the amber/ yellow colors. Plenty of picture on here that show the mismatch. If i was going to do yellow amber anywhere it would be with the fogs and make the light bars white. I decided to do the grille light bar because there an open space for it from the factory for a light bar. The pumper one is basically a mod

that’s good to know. Are we talking about the secondary lights built into the Baja’s or the amber light it’s self

Yea it’s a third wire they add in the kit that comes with the BD light. You can buy the kit if you didn’t get it I would imagine for earlier installments but I’m not using it. I might experiment with it in the future but I just want to get the thing installed now. It happens this weekend along with the painted pieces from OEMpainted parts. Then it’s off to PPF on Monday

Currently, only the S8 and our LP series offer the "backlight" feature. However, due to its growing popularity, we do plan to roll it out to most of our existing models in the future.

As for our lens options, we've received a lot of requests for a darker amber shade, which led to the release of our new Factory Amber lens. While we still prefer our original Baja Amber (lighter amber) for its superior performance in harsh conditions—allowing more light output while still cutting through dust and fog effectively. The Factory Amber was developed for off-road enthusiasts who prefer a darker tone while off-roading or for snowy conditions.

With the Factory Amber lens, you do sacrifice more light output, but it offers a look that many are after. We designed the color temperature to closely match the DRL (Daytime Running Light), perfect for those wanting a match between their auxiliary lights and marker lights.

Is the Baja light bar (that goes in the heritage grill 2025 Tundra) plug and play or do I need to figure out a way to create a wiring harness? Also, does it come with the hardware to attach it to the grill? Also I'm assuming this would all fit on a 2025 Tundra (I have the SR5 but looking to chNge grill and get the amber raptor lights and a light bar). Also I was told that Diode light bar for the heritage grill is pretty much as well made as the Baja we are just paying for the Baja racing legacy. I also read that people are trying to make sure all the amber lights are the same tone. Anyway I'm new to the game but actively looking to purchase parts soon. I put an overwhelming long post that no one replied to I get it, the info is probably all around etc. Anyway, any advice would be super helpful.

Yes, plug and play. Comes with everything needed. It'll fit your 25 with the heritage grille. I rather go with BD as they're quality has been better and so has their warranty/customer service. Amber's on BD lights match the oem heritage marker lights

I just did this. Chose the BD because it is considerably brighter. Also matches. A couple posts above from a rep from BD explains what they do. They are more expensive though, but I think, in this case, you get what you pay for. The BD kit comes with everything you need but I might suggest a better looking switch as it comes with a simple red toggle switch. I did an OEM TRD switch but it was somewhat labor intensive. I also got OEM marker lights and a kit from a vendor online to easliy mount the lights.

Wow. Your truck looks really great, I love the color and your install looks damn near factory...really smooth. Thank you for the reply and pointing me toward the explanation. If you have time someday if you wouldn't mind sharing the wiring harness you used for the marker lights. Either way this is very helpful. Your truck looks great hope you are really happy with the outcome. I know I would be.

Thank you. I replaced all the brushed chrome with OEM painted pieces. Also replaced the black fog light bezel

    Mounting hardware for light bar

    https://yotaxpedition.com/products/oem-raptor-light-install-hardware-kit-tundra-2022-2024

This setup makes the marker lights stay on whenever the trucks ignition is on. Hooking to the lighting circuit is more involved as the system uses CANBUS. I think someone did it on here

FYI, other things needed besides the lightbar kit for the Tundra is a front camera relocation bracket, if you have a front camera

Here's the writeup I used for the switch wiring. HAs some other info too. KClav did an awesome downloadable write up. SiBlue used an PAC TR7 which looked a little easier to work with

I’ll add this as a warning to anyone that is trying to do this on the cheap like I was. The grille itself that I got from vipih had faulty hardware and the marker lights would not work. The grille itself was great. I made it work. I replaced the lights with a $100 light bar/marker light kit from ebay and there is so much moisture in it, I’m just laugh crying. I am in the process of trying to get a refund right now and I’m probably going to get the yota xpedition marker and light bar combo for about $300. I am all in about $550 after that. Probably should have just paid up to begin with.

Not to mention all the time taking it apart and putting back together. I’m a builder and have worked on cars all my life so not really that big of a deal but still time not spent with my kids.

    Lots of stuff!
I had pretty good luck with my Diode Dynamics light bar. It was bright and well built. Sort of reasonable price as well. The Baja Designs light bar is a nice bar and pricey but like others have said, you get what you pay for.

I still have my Diode SS6 fogs from my Tundra and I am going to use them in the new truck since they are so bright, you can't be missed!

You could get the marker lights right from Toyota for around $170 shipped and the 2 pieces I linked above for around $40 shipped or less and save around $100 for the same exact thing

Again thank you so much the information on the wiring harness i was looking for one wasn't sure if I had to use rave with rave etc. This helps a ton, additionally the bolts I would have never of thought of that.

Also I really appreciate the video about the canbus honestly for me that's kind of next level which I'm sure to you guys seems really easy. Can I ask you when I looked at some of the videos about taking the bumper off and all the clips do you think it's smart to just try to I don't know if I can find them but buy a hell of a lot of extra clips because maybe they break?

I just showed the picture of your truck to my wife she thinks your truck looks damn good. So don't take my word for it take it from my wife whose father owned his own mechanic sho til he passed last year.

I really appreciate all your time It means a lot. i was concerned about the light bar bc I don't even know if I have a shutter that people are talking about impeding the light bar fitment. Also I need to look up what th oem painted parts are you are talking about.

Thanks again. I saw you have a jersey plate are you guys getting slammed with rain we just got our fill in MA. Sorry if in coherent just moved from hospital to rehab center. Take care.

I don't want you to think I was dissing you out by liking a post where you said you basically dropped half $1,000 and a lot of time and nothing seems to be coming together. I took a good lesson from this, sorry at your expense.

I didn't need any clips. If you're talking about the clips on the grill or the grille surround, they are built in to the trim pieces and grill themselves. They're a bit of a pain. There are several videos out there. The longer ones are better. One from Yota Expedition is pretty good but he didn't have the front Camera but explained it anyway. His shows in pretty good detail how to handle those clips so they don't break. Just have to go from one side to the other and make sure they don't pop back in. One thing he mentions that was very helpful was the little "hangers" in the little side vents under the lights. Also make sure to put something like a moving blanket or and piece of carpeting under the bumper in case it falls. Those foldable legs are handy too.

The areo "shutter" is east to figure out if you have. I think most do. What is your trim level?

Painted OEM parts Got 5 pieces to replace the Brushed Chrome on my Limited (3 grille surround pieces and 2 rear bumper caps) and the fog light bezel in LR to break up the "long" grill. I thought the prices were really good too. I got them PPF'd so I don't have to worry about little rock dings.

Yes. They are pretty cool. A little TRD insignia in the background for and added touch.

I will say that the wiring kit has one slight flaw that goofed me up because I let my grandson use my power ratchet to put my AERO on and the nut insert spun on one of the top ones and I couldn't get it out and couldn't tip the AERO shutter back, at the top, to connect the electrical connection, which is almost impossible to get to ( I did eventually) when it's all put together. BUT, the problem is, if I go to take that off, it will be supper hard to unclip and if the shop that does my warranty work (getting a motor pretty soon) goes to take the front off again, they might not even notice it so I'm going to cut the wires going to it and put some insulated connectors to be able to easily disconnect the electrical connection to the marker lights. And of course I will let the shop know where these connectors are, (one for the light, one for the markers, and put some painters tape on them.

It’s ok I just want to be done working on it - I’m only in about $250 right now. It’s just that pesky moisture inside the lights . The light bar and markers both went on without brackets - just hardware straight to the grille. Not sure if the oems would work with that setup. I would have to look at some part diagrams to figure it out. Was thinking these because they look exactly like what I have (minus the water inside).

Haha I'm here thinking damn will I be able to do this meanwhile your throwing power rolls to your grandson to some of the light work. I just have a 2025 SR5 CrewMax 5.5 bed with off road package and for some reason a heated steering wheel. I much rather the softtex in my 2016 4runner. I just hope it is a capable truck and well a super duty isnt in my budget. I like it though I literally saw it once since I was brought in for surgery it's not even registered yet. Got it delivered from dealership...think I did ok on price 51483 out the door with 2.99 for 72 will pay it off earlier just right now considering that's not a bad percentage.

Oh so you think it was from that company or are you saying it sure looks a lot like that one. Either way still looks good. I don't know what the rule of the law is but I remember I couldn't use my kc lights on any road wonder if that's the same with the light bar that comes with the TRD pro. Seems like you pretty much now all about this stuff the dealership be cool you have that wiring in your vehicle when you take it for the swap. I. Sure they will be but I read some nightmare story somewhere and it honestly is probably totally disconnected I don't even remember I was just saying hey hope they all cool and no one can say oh look one mod that discards you from everything.

I installed the grille myself and followed this guide:

The Diode Dynamics kit featured in this video will have all the brackets as well as the camera relocation kit.

I opted for the OEM running lights. You will need to source some clips which I found at Amazon:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CGPHZ1DP

The OEM lights have a sweet TRD inlay. Existing wiring for plug and play, just need to get a wire tap. Again, the video above goes step by step. The new brackets from Diode Dynamics are different, however in a good, much beefier way.

Theres no Diode Dynamics kit in this video...just the Chinesium garbage grille, bar and lights. The lightbar output is a joke and those amber lenses fade within a year. Cant use oem ambers with that grille either, different mounting points.
