Roman, I'm looking at picking up a 2016 Tundra, I hate all the chrome on the front of the truck, is it possible to get a TRD PRO grill with the surround and hood bulge in black or will it have to be painted? I don't know if toyota changed the black paint color this year. I don't own the truck yet but should have one in two weeks.

Sure, I can get you one. Keep in mind, there are two different paint codes for black: 202 and 218. The color the Pro grille comes in is 202, though I can get it painted in 218 for a small fee. Honestly though, there's very little difference between the two paint colors, and a lot of people with 218 Tundras will simply add the 202 parts. No problem. The SR5 only comes in 202, so if you go with that model, you're fine as far as the paint on these parts go.

I'm new here so hope I'm doing this right. Saw a TRD Pro grill on a new 2016 Tundra at PA dealer. What was different the charcoal center had a chrome surround. Looked awesome and I'd like to put same on my 2016 Tundra. Only ones I can find for sale have painted surrounds. Can anyone head me in the right direction to find? Here's a picture of what I saw.

It's very easy to do. If you currently have a chrome grille on the truck now, all you would need to buy would be the Pro grille itself. The color is irrelevant, since you won't be using the painted portion of the grille. Then, you will just swap your existing surround onto the Pro grille insert, and reinstall it on the truck. Awesome and so quick. Been looking on & off for a month. The parts guy at the dealer I saw this at gave me a part number to order but when I checked it, the number was for a different grill. I'd like to buy one. Do they have with the surround painted magnetic gray with the TOYOTA name in the grill (not the logo)? I'd like to order that. Do you want me to call the order in or email?

The Limited grille only comes with a chrome surround. I know my painter will not paint over chrome because the paint may not adhere well. The only way to do that would be to order two different grilles and mix and match the insert and surround, but that may get a little expensive.

 

I was just doing some shopping on your site and the hood bulge is in the attitude black vs the 202 black that the lower assembly is. Am I just missing the 202 cade top piece?

 

The 202 hood bulge part number is 76180-0C030-C1. The Attitude black ends in C0, but only for the hood bulge. I don't know why they did it that way, but I guess someone somewhere within Toyota thought it would be a good idea.
