TRD Pro Gear Shift Knob for 2014?

Will the TRD Pro Shift Knob work on the 2014 tundra. Sometimes the sites tell you it does not fit even though it does fit. Would love to change out my gear shift since it is cracked. I like the look of the TRD knob. I see other aftermarket knobs but I would prefer to keep purchases OEM as much as I can. *edited to say that there is a HUGE difference in price from OEM to non-OEM on this item*

    Any thoughts?

Hopefully you're serious about the HP. I know I will gain MPG too!

I picked up a cheapo from Amazon, looks like b stock not counterfeit. Feels identical, only difference is the red stitching is not thick woven like from factory.

Funny, i just ordered the same one off of Amazon. haha.

I do try to buy OEM however there is roughly a $50-$70 difference in price between this one and OEM. Something like a gear shift knob I will go non-OEM all day long with that much of a difference.

There is a Phillips head screw up the shaft :eek2:
Make sure it is tight before you install it.

Also, it could come loose over time, so keep that in mind.
Just pull it off and retighten.

I've had 2 of them, one of my favorite mods of all time.
    I always bought OEM parts..

If you go black you can put some heat shrink on the shaft to blacken it out..:D

I wanted OEM knob however the best price I can find is $80+tax+shipping. I ordered one from Amazon for $29 total. Looks the same and if it feels cheap etc I will order the OEM. haha. Trying to save money on small mods to put towards more significant mods. Every $1 counts.

Thanks for the heads up on the screw coming loose.

Welp, tried the non-OEM knockoff trying to save money and it did not fit. Either the thread pattern was wrong on the knob or there was no threads in the knob to begin with plus it felt too cheap to me even if it did fit. Returned it and purchased the OEM knob. :anonymous:

I’ve just replaced my trd pro knob for a black one. I’m thinking about selling my grey one if anyone is interested. My old one is off a 2021 trd pro and is in like new condition. I’ll be back home this weekend and can take some pictures of it.

My bad. I didn’t even think about putting it up for sell until I saw this thread. I probably should have since I spent $80 just to change the color. They are not cheap. I changed mine out over a week ago.

I've been toying with the idea of adding a boot and the Tacoma TRD knob. The only thing I don't like is not being able to see the gears on the panel. I know you can still see them on the display and obviously I know where they are but I just don't like having them covered. I saw that one guy did it by tucking the boot under the gear panel but it involved a bunch of cutting and it looked kind of like a PITA.

It's an easy mod for the tundra, lift the panel and slip the boot on. Not seeing the gears and referencing the dash is easy just takes getting used to. I drive in s4-s5 all the time so makes even easier.
