Hi all, I bought a 2024 sequoia and have the same problem at 200 miles on the truck. Can someone please explain exactly how and what to apply either the silicon or dielectric grease that was mentioned to fix the issue?

I took my Tundra to the local dealer today. The shop foreman is awesome. He said they had seen a few of the early (2022) Tundra's with this issue and had to replace the seat. He called Toyota corporate and the instructions they gave him was to use heavy silicon grease on the clips that hold the rods for the seat fan. The rods move through the clips as the seat is reclined. Fingers crossed but so far, this has solved the problem for me. We will see if it holds up.

I recently had my whole seat frame replaced and clips hugely greased and the squeak came back within a day. Interestingly enough, the squeak is louder now than it was before the frame replacement. So it’s very frustrating.

Yup,,, Just got back from the dealership. I think they added padding to it....

It is still there!!!!! I don't think they did anything... (I had to pick up today, Sunday and no service was there.)

Plus,,, second time they were to repair the thigh extender,,,,, that's a big no go as well.... it does nothing!!!! LOL

I finally got the Fob,,, but there was no key in it? Isn't there supposed to be a key in it?

    Talk about wasting time...

Ive been working with nice guy Adrian from the Toyota Brand Engagement Center.. I have a case number.

I have a phone number if anyone wants to reach out towards Corp to get this crap resolved...

They should have given you the key when you originally picked up the truck.

See above for the fix. They originally put extra padding and it came back in a few days. They had a corporate engineer look and this is what they decided to do.

No. You should have received the second metal key at time of delivery. In other words the should have handed you 1 FOB and 2 metal keys.

Did the owners manuals come in a sleeve of some sort? Check that or glove box. Hope you find it.

Any idea how they got the seat down to the metal in these pictures? It appears they left the seat in the truck, so I can’t imagine it’s real hard to get it to that point? Any schematics or steps how to remove leather, foam, etc?

Mine, 2024, just started squeaking today, I’m at 3k miles. Add this to the list of QC issues I’ve had: Faulty window seals, rattling/sqeaking center console, rattling window controllers, gap in tailgate…

The seat cover unzips from the backseat. There are also elastic straps under the seat that needs to be unhooked. Its pretty easy, but I took mine to my dealer anyway in case the seat needed replacement.

I have been fighting this seat noise in my 2023 Tundra. I unzipped the back of my seat, unhooked the straps at the bottom and flipped the leather over toward the front. I was able to reach in and get to the clips referenced in @Philcam's post. I lubricated they heavily with silicon grease. IT WORKED!!! The noise is gone. I put enough on there that it hopefully will not come back. I will post if it does.

If you do try to do this yourself, wear gloves. There is a very sharp corner on the seat frame that got me twice. I ended up wearing 9mil gloves and putting a piece of electrical tape over the sharp corner.

@1794TundraJeff I’m glad it worked for you. Mine remains squeak free with no other maintenance since my first post.
