TRD pro fox vs 2.5” king for what it’s worth

I know the shop you’re talking about and I contacted them about rebuilding my pro shocks and they were hesitant as I would be the first. I called a few shops around the central tax region and most said they could but I talked to one owner that told me the stock pro fox shocks are not your typical shaft diameter and internals that most shops stock parts (oe style fox shock) for so I’d be better off sending them straight to fox or at least ordering my own parts and having someone rebuild them. This is what made me buy all new and sell my old ones to my bro, which he sent in to fox for rebuilding

 

I have also ran the 6112/5100 setup on my old tundra so I’ve got a feel for those vs the other set ups above. The 6112 is very stiff compared to pro fox and king shocks for sure. They are capable of taking a beating though, just not as smoothly as some of the higher end stuff.
Again, I am just posting all this because I initially bought the 6112/5100 setup for my last truck because I was on a budget. Then I bought a pro but was always curious about a king setup but I could never find all the info comparing all of them in one spot. I just hope all this helps the next guy select his parts. All great set ups for various reasons but having ridden on 6112/5100 and the fox pro setups for over 90k miles each and my kings for 20k I feel that I can at least try to add another view point to the plethora of info on this forum
