Id be pissed to. Its not just the scuffs. Its the missing shock and bad packaging on heavy expensive items. Should have been better is the bottom line. You don't have to defend yourself.

It may have changed since, but last I read, he wasn't allowed to send them out sans VIN.

Funny thing is, the FedEx driver left it on my porch. We never had the opportunity to sign for or inspect the package.

If I order something new, I expect it to arrive new and in perfect condition. If I order a hamburger, it had better not have a bite out of it. A shirt shouldn't have a tear or a stain. Of course, the burger will be eaten, and the shirt will eventually get a stain. But, it should be me doing the eating and the staining.

Stand your ground. They are responsible for getting a new product to you in perfect condition. You paid for the item and the shipping. You did your part. If they can't honor that, then they are in the wrong line of work.

Just install them and forget about it. Nobody is gonna check out the paint job on your coils.

If it comforts you at all, coils aren't handled with care by the manufacturers. They don't come out of the paint booth and get the white glove treatment and placed on a pillow. They get rolled around and bounce off each other on their way to get packaged. I have ordered and received brand new, in the box, Eibach coils that had similar dings on them. I have put coilovers on several of my cars and trucks in the past and they almost always have a paint defect. You'll forget all about it once they're on your truck.

I don't think these are takeoffs. They don't look to have been installed or driven on. They should have been packaged nicer but that doesn't change how they will work.

Curious on your opinion on the ride too. I am on the fence now between still going with these or OME BP-51 kit.

I installed the set over the weekend. I wasn’t going to send some coilovers back because of some scuffs; just thought everyone would want to know so if they order these parts from Sparks, they can request the original packaging be kept intact.

The ride is incredible. The best way I can describe it is, it makes the truck feel like it weighs a lot less. It doesn’t lean as much into turns, and it’s extremely smooth. I have speed cushions on my street...the rubber ones they bolt into the road. I am forgetting to slow down because I barely notice when I drive over them.

Funny, I was almost dead set on the BP-51 kit until I read @The Patriot 1776 ’s saga. Just not interested in dealing with anything remotely close to that. Also, the tire size I really want to go with (285/75 on stock rims) fits just fine with the Pro suspension.

The height at which I took the Bilstein 4600s off was too low to put my tire back on when I had the first front coilover installed. Too much droop. Had to jack it up a bit more. Here’s a pic, both sides are the same height, TRD Off Road Bilstein on the passenger side; TRD Fox Pro on the driver’s side:
