That is exactly what I thought but was not sure because I have not seen one. The piping and turbos and factory exhaust will probably be it for the V6s until a change of some sort. Thanks

You can lead a horse to water.

BAM Wholesale is $239.73 + $14.29 shipping to my zip code.

Personally for me, hard pass on having to make a trip to the dealer unless it's absolutely necessary.

I have placed two orders with BAM for this item and it gets automatically canceled the next day. I’ve bought a few things through them and always have great prices and quick shipping.

My bad. I was looking at the chrome version that I purchased, and seems to be available most places.

Just went to the local muffler shop, $80 out the door for a resonator delete. I have the black chrome tip, so saving a couple hundred $$ seems like a good move. Will update tomorrow with a cold start.

I've had four combinations of exhaust at this point:
    1) Factor muffler with factor rear pipe (with the resonator
    2) factory muffler with TRD rear pipe
    3) dirty deeds muffler with the TRD rear pipe (with a DD helmholtz resonator)
    4) dirty deeds muffler with factory rear pipe

3 was way too loud for me. I was the first person Keith did a muffler for with the TRD pipe who wanted that resonator. So there were some hiccups there with resonator location. No knock on Keith - he's fantastic and spent a lot holiday weekend time talking me through it.

4 is reasonable and I've gotten used to it with the hot charge pipes and CAIs. It's still louder than 2 but seat of the pants says it's a little more responsive now.

I ordered mine back in October. Truck arrived in June. Exhaust wasn’t there. Was told to order locally as I purchased the truck in a different city. Local dealer told me 6 weeks, but we’ll see. I’m feeling like ordering just the black tip in the meantime, as I hate the factory tip.

It is definitely louder on a cold start, but I couldn't hear any difference driving. If anything it was a fun experiment and a little throatier startup aint bad.

Bought the chrome tipped version then immediately chopped them off! High heat primer then black up to the junction. I had planned on painting the tips too but went against it for personal reasons.

If he just deleted the rear resonator, is probably sounds exactly like the TRD "exhaust".

Got a Chrome set being delivered today for install after my truck gets out of the body shop. Eventually I’ll probably move to something louder but looking forward to this upgrade.

Just the look I had in mind for the truck. When I dumped the exhaust at the carven muffler it was too loud so I decided to chop it down to just pipes and black it out for a smaller blueprint. I like the no exhaust look. Next option was the overland system from a couple companies but this was more economical

I just had the TRD duel exhaust installed on my 2022 Tundra this week, so thought I'd throw in my two cents.

I actually really like the exhaust note. I'm a middle-aged dude and am not after something super loud and aggressive. Most of the previous posts are accurate; not a huge difference overall. You can mainly hear a deeper, more throaty note on startup, which dies down after a short period(I actually noticed people looking my way when I started my truck this week, which never happened previously). I find I can hear a difference when I accelerate through lower gears, but once up to cruising, it disappears. I have found myself turning off my music this week and listening to the exhaust as I bomb around; based on the previous posts, there is actually a larger difference than what I was expecting. It's just a bit richer; I like it.

I also have the TRD air filters installed, which definitely increase the amount of turbo whistle I hear, but I assume they would have minimal impact on the exhaust note.

Overall, the exhaust doesn't change the the stock experience drastically, but is a noticeable difference, and makes for a slightly more refined and rich tone. This is what the stock exhaust should have sounded like originally, in my opinion. If you have the money to spend and just want a slightly deeper exhaust note, it's a good option.

I agree. I did the same and sounds and looks great! Obviously not a V8 pur but, sounds good with my HV. Definitely hear the turbo whistle with the TRD filters!

Revisiting this thread after trying to order since February. Anyone successfully get the black dual exhaust or is it still backordered? If so, from where?

    Thanks!

Has anyone found the TRD chrome (not black) exhaust from a dealer recently for the ~$250 mark? Seems like a number of folks were able to find it local for about that and then get hit with ~$200 shipping. My local dealer wants $400 (with no shipping). Trying to figure out if that's the new rate or it's just my local dealer. In North Atlanta if someone has another suggestion. TIA.

Honestly the TRD dual exhaust is 99% looks and 1% something else. No discernible difference in exhaust note and certainly no additional power. All show and no additional go. If you want bling save your $ and buy the OEM exhaust tip. Been there done that.

I’ve noticed an improvement in the sound of the exhaust. Nothing crazy, but happy I upgraded. Looks great too!

I liked mine too but honestly for me it was not worth the $200 more than the shinny oem tip. So I sold mine ( trd dual and oem tip from
oem tail section) for what I bought it for and then shit canned the sysyem for a TWC - best of both worlds IMO.

Trying to order the black dual tip again after canceling due to non-availability some months ago. I guess I should have let that order ride since the price has gone up. Does anyone know if these have come available again or not? The online system doesn't say. In any case my order is in and if they are not available I guess I'll just cancel it again and be done with it.

As of today, BAM Wholesale is now at $288.79 for chrome version. Quite the price change since the start of this thread. $20.86 for shipping to Maine.
